I have just been gathering some info so we can see just how "FAIR" it is to close out other countries. I guess the US is using the reason for not supporting the coalition to make it easier to explain why certain companies are getting contracts.

The six companies -- Bechtel Group Inc., Fluor Corp., Halliburton Co. subsidiary Kellogg, Brown & Root, Louis Berger Group Inc., Parsons Corp. and Washington Group International Inc. -- contributed a combined $3.6 million in individual, PAC and soft money donations between 1999 and 2002, the Center reported on its news site, CapitalEye.org. Sixty-six percent of that total went to Republicans.

The EU isn't happy either...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The European Union's executive confirmed Wednesday it will investigate whether a U.S. decision to exclude Iraq war opponents from bidding for contracts to rebuild the country met world trade rules

This is a punishment to all countries that opposed the US because the decision to go to war with Iraq was wrong. Sadaam needed to be removed, but this should have been handled on an international level, not just because Bush said so. Now, we will see where this money is going to go and as soon as I dig up some more info I will be posting it. Enjoy!
