Leeds United have confirmed they have held talks with former Chelsea supremo Ken Bates.
Bates has been linked with Leeds over the past few weeks and despite denying his interest last week, it has now been revealed that he does have interest in investing at Elland Road.
Leeds have admitted that Bates is involved in one of the consortiums currently involved in looking at investing in the club.
The agent of Everton pair Gary Naysmith and David Weir has confirmed to skysports.com that Leeds are pursuing his clients. Both players are out of contract in the summer and should not be short of suitors in the close-season, with Leeds heading the race for their signatures. Jim McArthur, who represents both of the Scotland internationals, admits that he has had informal contact with Leeds chief Kevin Blackwell but was keen to underplay any talk of an imminent deal.
