I would be interested, though, in how you interpret that passage yourself;

I already told you (also it is right there in Isaiah if you read it in its entirety) - it was a condemnation of the King of Babylon at a time when the Babylonians held the Israelites Captive! How can you equate a King with a Fallen Angel?

This would be difficult, given that Isaiah's ministry only extended from around the year 739 BC to around 697 BC and the babylonian exile and captivity did not begin until 605 BC; so, unless you are willing to stipulate that Isaiah was making a prophetic utterance, your argument is wanting, at least logically.

Is anyone out there a Rabbi - can we get a confirmation here please?

Yes, I second your request.
I'm not a Rabbi, but maybe I can assist. The verse in question is referring to Lucifer the Day Star who is also Satan. The Babylonian king in question is not Nebuchudnezzar it is Nimrod, who is Baal, who is the sun, who is the Day Star.

In reality he is the false day star, the false morning star and the false Christ or Antichist.

Please, back up your claim with scriptural references or other extra-biblical sources. Nimrod was the great-grandson of Noah who was a mighty hunter and leader of his people and established several cities, although Babylon was not one of them. Also, Nimrod was never king of Babylon. Genesis 10:6-12

There is no evidence that I can find in scripture that Nimrod was ever a psuedonym for Lucifer or Satan or a type of anti-christ. So, whre do you get your information?

Genesis 10:8 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. 9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said,.Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. 10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel , and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar

Babel is Babylon, and as you can see the Bible says that the beginning of Nimrods kingdom was Babel.
I don't have time to answer your second question right now. If you ask it again, I will get back to it.

Thanks

Your response involving the time of Isaiah was excellent by the way.

Ah yes, Sun Matrix, it is becoming a consistent pattern - on display for all to see - "Christians" making up their own Narrative again! OK your Holiness, Sun Matrix - we should all just believe everything you say without question (Sarcasm)!

P.S. I read that Wikipedia page - I don't think that it proves your statement. There were no dates given regarding the Babylonian Invasion in that Wikipedia page - just the Assyrian one.

I don't know what page you are referring to.

What happened did your Gnostic nonsense get disproved again. When push comes to shove, you are left without answers as usual and then the attacks start.

Your only solution and it's weak, very weak.

Whoever does not have the Spirit cannot receive the gifts that come from Gods Spirit. Such people really do not understand them; they are nonsense to them, because their value can only be judged on a spiritual basis.

1 Corinthians 2.14

The above sums it up for me, you really need to have faith to accept Christianity, otherwise the word cannot be understood. Bascially a catch 22 situation.

God bless the unbelievers that they may find their way to Him.

Sun Matrix - that last comment was directed at StormRider.

As for personal attacks - since when is Sarcasm an attack?

Sun Matrix - you don't need me to invalidate your *Fundamentalist Non-Sense Post-aganda* - you do that all by yourself & it is plain to see by all!

Here is an example of one of your personal attacks. It is is this thread but not directed at me.

There are about a Million Threads about the difference between Lucifer & Satan here on ATS (or you could just Google it) - I suggest that you educate yourself before you embarrass yourself again in your next post!

You can always tell the weak, they always try to enlist help like your "plain for all to see" quote, and your earlier quote in this thread about creditibility at ATS(which you use often). The weak always look for help. The weak minded are easily fooled by the deceiver, hence the Gnostic nonsense.

I am not ashamed that I believe that Jesus is the propheised Messiah.

Do you have the guts to name your God??????????????????????

If you want to talk facts, no problem, I would be happy to discuss facts. If you feel the need for personal attacks, that's not much problem either.

Almost all of todays religions have been taken from past cultures. From Samerian to Babylonian parables are almost the same as well as the prophacies.

To single one religion as a culprit is nonsense.

Do you not find it strange that the Jews, who wrote the Bible, don't believe he was the Messiah?

I don't care where the argument has gone, I want to interject about the first post that Christianity DID incorporate all other religions and cultures, just as was traditionally the Roman thing to do.

Rome, when becomming an Empire, changed from being a city which never compromised and imposed its way of life on all others or allowed them to keep their traditions only by mercy...into a new Empire of tollerance...

Rather, instead of exporting Latinum, it imported the world...invevitably destroying Rome but giving it years of a peaceful world rule it wouldn't have had otherwise.

Christianity was born in the height of the Roman Empire...why wouldn't it exhibit its characteristics?

"The weak minded are easily fooled by the deceiver, hence the Gnostic nonsense. "

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

wives are to obey their husbands in all things, slaves are to obey their masters in all things....

seems to me there seems to be a little nonsense in the christian religion also....the southern baptist along with a few other branches of the religion are still clinging to the idea of man's superiority over women!!

so, let me ask you a question here.....
can a women live a christian life if the man, weather it be father, brother or husband doesn't wish her to??

I'm sure that you are not ashamed that I believe that Jesus is the prophesied Messiah. Sorry you might as well give up with the deception. Bag it.

The name of my God is Yahweh translated from Hebrew and Jehova translated from Greek.

Now do you have the guts to name your god???????????

No, I don't find it strange. In fact, I find it proof of what had been prophesied.
God said the builders(the Jews) would reject the Messiah. AND SO IT HAPPENED.

Isaiah 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

Psalm 118:22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.

Sure - no problem! My *GOD* is the "Living God" that Jesus called "Father" in the Gospels.

The name of my God is Yahweh translated from Hebrew and Jehova translated from Greek.

What a Shocker!
Of-Course it is - no surprise here.

Go ahead & keep on calling yourself a "Christian" Sun Matrix! BTW a "Christian" is a follower of the Teachings of *CHRIST* - NOT a Literal "Letter of the Law" Biblical Fanatic!

Well what do you know - it looks like I was the one to Expose YOU for what you really are Sun Matrix!

Yahweh or Jehovah is seldom used by Jewish followers. It's taboo!!

and in fact, no one really knows how to properly pronounce the name of God, because it's been taboo for so long!!
So, under these circumstances, is it better to name him and posibly mispronounce his name, or just to call him "He who can create universes from nothingness"?

It is a Mystery. I am unable to put a Name/Label on the Universal Mind.

Like I said weak.

Then you are calling the Life & Actions of Jesus Christ "Weak" - because that is how am able to Externally know "God" (Internally I realize that God is also a part of me).

Wow - what a fantastic "Christian" you are Sun Matrix (more Sarcasm)!

Your gods name is no mytery to me. You might try Ahura Mazda or Lucifer or Baal or Satan. Ring any bells.
