I liked this one.

Dumb Questions:

- Why couldn't the smoke/monster/whatever just go over the fence? Kate, John and Sayed did it ...

- The bright light flashes when the monster had them cornered reminded me of camera flashes (or x-ray type imaging)... any ideas as to what it was doing or why?

- Now we have a Sawyer-Kate connection... isn't that new info or did I miss that in a past episode.

*Seems we're getting alot of connections between the losties from their pre-island days... what's the angle here?

- How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

next week looks to be really good/informative ie, "I could tell ya but you'd want to kill me." Finally some answers, I hope... yeah probably not.

Regards,
~Rren

Good catch TSA
I missed it last night. Looks like a woman standing on the bow... could it be a flashback from when Juliette arrived on the island? Seems to fit as it's shown after Sayed says "I want to know everything" and she most likely got to the island on the sub. We'll see

Excellent episode and am I the only one whose ridiculously happy that the Monster has come back? Two episodes back to back... and both times it appeared during a fight (a clue as to what it is?)
The flashes looked to me more like kind of a flashback but without the flashback (if you take my meaning). Like it was reviewing her history.
And from Juliett's reaction we can see that some, if not all, the Others have never encountered the Monster.

And I am so sorry Kate.... but Juliett is so much hotter!

I hope Kate stays with Sawyer. They always struck me as the best couple (after Charlie and Claire). And now that Juliett, who know's everything about Jack and most likely all the Losties, is joining them... does that mean she'll reveal the connection between Jack and Claire???

I'm happy they showed the monster too. I had always suspected that the others did not fear it, or somehow controlled it, but now I see even they are scared of it.

The sound it emits sounds too much like an elephant's war call. It used to sound very vague, but now it sounds very much like an elephant.

Also, I think brining Juliet back to the camp is a very bad thing. Whenever Sayid gets that troubled look about someone, you can always be sure that he knows they're bad. I'm thinking it's all a plan set up by Ben to get the rest of the "good" losties on their side.

Am I the only one that's frustrated with how the losties are not questioning Juliet or any of the other others? When Juliet told Kate that she knew all that about Jack, I was just waiting for Kate to ask, "How do you know all of this about us?" but she didn't say anything. Argh!!!!! :bnghd:

Sayid is awesome!
At the end of last episode I was screaming at the TV, "Why aren't they grilling Juliette for answers?!?"

maybe it can only hover a little above the ground (and not fly)...

though, we have seen it go way above the ground in the past...

a better question would be why the monster didn't go under the fence (as the monster seems to always pop up from under the ground)...

- The bright light flashes when the monster had them cornered reminded me of camera flashes (or x-ray type imaging)... any ideas as to what it was doing or why?

it was probably reading her mind / memory (as it did with eko)...

- Now we have a Sawyer-Kate connection... isn't that new info or did I miss that in a past episode.

this connection was new (although we did see kate's mom serve sawyer and his partner in season two)...

it seems that they all may be connected in one way or another...

next week looks to be really good/informative ie, "I could tell ya but you'd want to kill me." Finally some answers, I hope... yeah probably not.

hopefully, but i doubt it (although we have gotten some good information in the past in this season)...

this sounds good to me...

but i would be surprised if it was a juliet-centric episode only because we had one already recently...

yes, it was awesome that ol' smokey has come back once again...

i get the impression that the monster was reading her mind / memory...

the others not seeing the monster makes sense...

maybe the others don't like traveling in the dark territory (the place where the monster is)...

is smokey a dharma creation???

or was it always on the island???

And now that Juliett, who know's everything about Jack and most likely all the Losties, is joining them... does that mean she'll reveal the connection between Jack and Claire???

possibly...

but juliet has enough on her hands right now (she is going to be interrogated by sayid)...

there is a possibility that juliet may still be on ben's side, but why would she be???

there is now no way off the island and she should be pissed about this...

in fact, she should be mad at ben...

Am I the only one that's frustrated with how the losties are not questioning Juliet or any of the other others?

this has always been a problem with this show...

hmmm, that would be cool...

but the others took everything of value...

plus, the others most likely used the underground tunnels to get to wherever they are going...

these tunnels lead right into othersville (so, if the others ever wanted to kidnap or bother the losties ever again, it would be easy if they are in othersville)...

The homes are still of value. I'd prefer a house over a makeshift tent.
The downside I can see of moving is that they would be away from the ocean (fishing) and the Dharma suplies drop off.

But the Losties don't really know about that. I'm sure next episode will establish if living in othersville is doable or not.

I thought it would be a better choice to move everyone into Othersville. I can imagine Juliett pointing out all of the tunnels, leading the Losties to fill them in and then leaving the barrier active to stop them getting back in, and to keep the Monster away.

And watching the eppy again, it looks like (when the Monster comes) there are several of them. I count two or three that then join into one huge one, before splitting into two after hitting the fence.

And I was just thinking, considering Juliett has only been there 3 years she wouldn't know but...

This bit is plausible...
I think the Monster may have been created by the original 'Hostiles' (Ben's people) as a way of attacking the DHARMA members. After it scanned Juliett it seemed to withdraw, so I believe it checked her out, saw she had been familiar with Ben and so didn't perceive her as an enemy.

This bit kind of is, but isn't really...
I believe Ben (or even Jacob) may have sent it to watch her after they abandoned her. After seeing her for the first time it reported back and was given new orders to kill her.

Its a stretch...

sayid should have paid more attention to those wiring maps...

some of the tunnels were blocked from the incident...

interesting...

i watched the first few minutes that i missed and i loved the way juliet ducked from kate (when kate tried to hit her with the pool stick)...

I think Ben may still have another trick up his sleeve, for getting off the island. Remember, he said he wanted John to blow up the sub. This would imply that he didn't want Juliet to leave. Maybe by doing so, he now controls her again, by promising her another way off the island.

I think he left Juliet on the island, so she could walk to the Losties' camp, and try to turn them on one another. Then when the "good" Losties are hostile toward the "bad" ones, Juliet may have them join the Others.

Remember, if Ben's intention was always to let Juliet off the island, he wouldn't have marked her. He knew he would keep her on the island, and that John would blow up the sub. In my opinion, this gives Ben tremendous more power than he had before, because he may know the only way off the island, and if the others did anything to him, that secret would die with him.

awesome interpretation...

but, let's not forget that ben isn't the leader of the others...

He may not be their true leader, but they certainly follow his and his daughter's orders. It's just that his speech to Locke made it sound so much like while the true leader is away, he is in charge.

There could also be a chance that Ben and the other hostiles had brainwashed the Dharma employees into thinking that Ben is in charge till their leader gets back, but in actuality, their leader might be dead or has been previously killed by the hostiles.

Ben definantly seemed like the head honcho at Othersville,

Perhaps they left for another settlement on the island, where "Jacob" lives.

there's no debate about that factor...

the island is huge (and the possibilities are endless)...

if things are bad enough for them, i guess the others can hang out in the tunnels for a while...

Hey, I made a LOST Podcast.

Check it out here.

Mainly, it's a recap show with some ideas from me about what's going on, and I mention some other stuff I've picked up on the boards.

[EDIT: Warning, it's my first fancast, so the beginning is a little rough. Once I relax it gets better, trust me.]

good job (and great idea)

the only complaint i have is that the podcast revolved around recapping too much

although this was the point of the podcast, i simply skipped the recap parts (sorry)...

additionally, there aren't only three episodes left in this season

season one had 23 episodes, season two had 23 episodes and season three may have 23 episodes (it makes sense, right???)...

the next episode is number 16

as a side note, i would love to join in on the podcast with you

the only problem is that i need a microphone and specific podcasting programs :shk:

i can definitely see myself doing a 'lost' podcast during season 4 (or during the summer)...

again, good podcast and great idea...

if you loved that, then check out this page with pictures of another such map...

also, here is the official site of the 'lost' mobile game...

if you'd like, play the online demo of the game right now

have fun
