Well, I may have suggested something here awhile back Mr Gray, but one thought occurred to me a couple of weeks ago having to do with duplicate thread.. posts on subjects reported many times before without an update being the reason for a similar post (I'm just as guilty as anyone else).

That a pop-up pulls up on any thread starters subject based on key words. Showing the last thread and date a particular sub was brought up and asking is there new information? or something like that?

Anyway, I suppose I may have defeated myself on this..as there may not be a big variety of new threads then, less news, updates to previous subjects as well as ATSN matters maybe.

Anyway, the auto lookup could still be suggestive rather than rule?

Is it possible to have a section on here that members that haven`t been official banned but are unable to log in can go to discuss.

I ask this a Member Zuri who has posted in this thread a few pages back rattled a few feathers got a response from simon has since been unable to log in but has been able to view ATS threads but has noticed the post have been removed, but as everybody here can see still on system.

Can l ask this and get an answer.

P.S If zeed85 stops posting then they probably pullied the plug on me.

Greetings ladies and gentlemen of Abovetopsecret.com

I propose a crime and punishment forum on the site ,
I have done lots of research and read lots of books on the subject to get it rolling, In this thread there will be topics ranging from the jack the ripper case to spring heeled jack and also lots of conspiracy related topics such as the missing Duke case,
As i said before i would be more then happy to submit the relevent topics to get the ball rolling on this and i believe that this would be a very interesting thread, i believe that people have alot of knowledge on this subject and i think that it would be great for people to post about it and widen each others knowledge on this , after all UFOs,ghosts and goverment are not the only things with conspiracies running through the heart of them
So as a member of Abovetopsecret.com and a person who listens to what everyone has to say , I would like to start a petition to open up the needed doorways and get a interesting subject such as Crime and Punishment moving .

I thank you for your time and look forward to hearing from you in the future.

Yours Faithfully

ATS Member
Omega85

PS, U2U me if your interested or mention it in this thread , thanks fellow members

I also believe that a Crime and Punishment Forum would be of great interest and fun to be involved in..

Of course I am some what prejudiced but that would hopefully, benefit the Forum as I have some fairly unique resources that could be applied to this.

Think about it...

Jack the Ripper
Boston Strangler
The Black Dahlia
Jonbenet Ramsey
The Halloway Case
OJ

The list is practically endless...

i think you should have a chat room on every subject entered. that way we can interact more. example
i saw aliens in my yard), have a chat room on this subject and have a weird alien on the top with the persons article inside or something. after all a cite will generate more money when people can interact with each other, it gathers them together. and on one side maybe a comercial or something so you can make money on their ads. sort of like you do now with the ads.

Yeah cos events happen all the time.Imagine you see an alien in your yard rather than get a photo or vid you would go straight to a chat site

Great example

This is a disscussion site you don`t have to be real time. You can use already available chat rooms, but l guess you get more sarcasism there than here.

How about a conspiracy book of the month or a conspiracy movie of the month.

Or you can just dedicate a whole forum to my greatness.

Hey semper, are you familiar with the Vidocq Society? Just curious.

Here's two long-time unsolved local cases that have always fascinated me-

The Burger Chef Killings

The LaSalle St. Murders

I have a new suggestion.

Have an on-site clock, with the five major time zones.

You know we had that added maybe a year ago but there was a problem with it's operation....can't remember exactly what was going wrong but it had to be removed. It was located on the recent posts page just above the board links.

Anyway I love the idea but don't know if it would work.

Not yet,

But I'll look it up...

ps. Just went to their site. I heard of them a long time ago, or something similar. They were doing a synopsis on the Boston Strangler Case I believe at the time.

With all of the CSI, Forensic Files and other such shows, it seems to be VERY popular and if a thread were to start, I am sure it would get a lot of attention.

i have one that is ultra reliable , got it here :

world clock

as they say :

You may NOT use this applet on any other site.

springer would have to negotiate licencing to allow ATS to use it

but technically it is doable , that world clock site has had problems with dishonest websites stealing thier app .

so hosting the app on ats is possible , we just need to get permission

I'd like to see significant points reductions for one line posts. If one cant add anything meaningful to the thread then they should not simply post one line comebacks. Personally points are meaningless to me but I do know that some are fixated on them.

Reduced size Avatar regulations. Sometimes the Avatar is much larger than the actual post. People don't come here to look at pretty pictures after all. There are some great Avatars to be sure, but this site is more about Content isn't it? Bikini Bimbos, while fun to look at I guess, just make this site appear more frivolous and less serious in nature. I thought I remember seeing regulations against using Photos of people in revealing dress, but I guess it isn't ever enforced. OK, I'm not a prude, more flesh, especially Hot alien chicks! :p:

Since there are so many threads on this site about the End of the World and Doomsday scenarios, I seriously think that those calling for a Survivalist section have a good idea. Whether it is the Dark Knight, Terrorist dirty bombs, all out Nuclear war, Bird Flu Bio war, NWO slave camps, Alien invasions, or even (laughing), John Titors war that started two years ago, It seems like there might be valuable input from members on how to survive, these and other events, in style.

I'd also like to see at the top of the page, the most recent ATSNN posting. Keeping people informed is crucial in the crusade to Deny Ignorance. Since ATS has such a great resource in ATSNN, then why not utilize it regularly. "This Just In" followed by the most recent news item, every time the page is refreshed would both educate the masses, and also tend to spark timely conversations on the important news of the moment. Interested parties could click on a link to the story to find out more.

ATS is a unique site and it's growth over the past few years only speaks to it's quality. I continue to be impressed with it's professional organization and the integrity of the moderators. Keep up the good work!

I would just like to suggest that all the threads about Yellowstone, the Tsunami and so on could be put into a sub forum of Fragile earth, maybe titled "Natural Hazards" or something. Its just that from the description when the cursor is put over the link, they technically shouldn't be there from the way I read it. Or perhaps they are there because they don't fit anywhere else.

this could sound dumb, but here goes.More threads need to be deleted, the staff can ask members if they can have permission to delete their threads or not.
Like for ex: one of my thread here, someone please delete this. www.abovetopsecret.com...

Also it would be interesting if we had a chatbox(maybe on the homepage)and anybody can post any messages there(without breaking the T&C).The chatbox can be updated every few minutes to eliminate old messages.

I have a suggestion:

Is there any way possible to have a Signature Preview in Account Settings, similar to the Avatar Preview? Which imo, was an Excellent addition.

I believe that this will aid in helping members in formatting urls etc., in their signature, in a more efficient manner.

edit = punctuation.

I am with Mechanic on this suggestion. If it were to be available for new members to see how their signatures look and what they cid wrong to that signature. That way, they can look at it and fix it.

My picture of the day.

I can remember Mechanic mentioning this previously. Deffinately a good idea. Normally when I am editing my signature, I have another window open with a thread open containing one of my posts. As I edit the signature, I just refresh the thread to see how it looks. It's efficient and gets the job done. Jumping back and forth can be a hassle if you need to edit the bbcode a few times.

Other than that, I just hope to see more of the same. In all my time with the site, I would be in tough to think of any valid complaint I have ever had.
