I'd expect all of the Heroes to be there for the big bang. This is going to be the climax. Really the whole season is a build up for that moment.

Indeed everyone will be there. Though, I'm wondering how Peter will convince Nathan to join him an the other Heroes and avoid the election party.

I like sylar the most , And i think hes the same as peter ( MIMIC ) , But insted of keeping the powers only when the person is around he eats them and they process into his body and he has them for ever or just for a while ?

Assuming it was still the same telekinetic power from the first hero he killed, Sylar would be able to keep the powers forever. He demonstrated the telekinesis again when he visits the diner to kill Charlie.

Hmmm. Maybe he is exactly like Peter. Peter absorbs the powers of those near by temporarily. Perhaps Syler does the exact same thing but keeps pieces of their brains on his person so that he can keep their powers.

It would fit his evil character quite nicely, as plot device. Ever since Rasobasi mentioned the idea that Sylar probably rearranges his brain, the idea came to me where the writers of the show might take this similar idea further by having Sylar take out the non-power portions of his brain and replace it with the parts he stole from the heroes. He did this with watches, by taking out the original parts of the watches and replacing it with newer ones from other watches.

I think Sylar needs to make a physical change to himself in order to get the powers actually. In his origin story, he had a specific power even before meeting the telekenetic dude. I think it's different from PP's power in that specific changes need to be made to himself in order to get the powers.

With that being said, PP would be a great fight, because not only could he mimic Sylar's powers, but he could also take the powers of any nearby hero during the fight. This could be a key 1up on Sylar.

I'm thinking that they'll save the Sylar fight until the season finale, and take this next episode and use it to prevent Ted from blowing up in NY.

Ya know what is very weird is how in the next episode sylar is an some type of jail house room with a glass window.

I don't think anything can keep him in somewhere.

But that would mean the Haitian man was there to so.

Its just all too confusing, however this plays out it will be pretty awesome.

So what is the Haitian's power exactly? At first I thought he negated other people's powers, but then Nathan Petrelli was able to fly his ass out of trouble when he got chased down by the two.

Maybe the Haitian can only hinder mental abilities, but then why was he able to get Ted? There are still a lot of questions about exactly who can do what.

The Haitian is a real mystery. He does seem to negate powers but like you said Nathan was still able to fly away from him. Then apparently he erased Matt’s and the football player’s memories. The guy hasn’t said a word in the show yet.

I’ve noticed a lot of the style of this show is misdirection. They try to get you to think that something else is happening to cover the truth.

The only thing I can think of that would allow the Haitian to do all these things is telepathy. Way stronger than Matt’s telepathy. I’m thinking Xavier level telepathy.
Mind blocks that didn’t allow Matt to read his mind.
Mind wipes on Matt and the football player.
Telepathically stopping “heroes” minds from using their powers.
Maybe Nathan got away because everything happened too quickly.
Maybe the Haitian prefers to communicate telepathically instead of verbally.

I was thinking that the mind erasing was part of the girl's ability. All she would have to say is "forget everything that has happened to you in the past two days" and poof, it's gone.

Just a theory of course, not confirmed yet.

I think she was still in NYC when those mind wipes happened. I'd have to dig up some episode summaries to confirm.

I think you're right actually. I don't want to create a convoluted situation, but is it possible that the lab in which these guys work is in NYC, and that they fly in the heroes for experimentation? After all, they are gone for an extended period of time, and Mr. Bennett does travel a lot.

I think the lab is in Texas. I remember when they had Isaac, Claire visited her father there, establishing it was in Texas. The football player was in a Texas hospital also. It seemed that The Haitian went to work on him in the hospital bed.

A lot of people on the boards are stating pretty much the same thing about the Haitian guy's powers only effecting mental abilities. I believe he may also have the power to absorb people's energies or cause them to pass out, not their hero power, but their actual body's energy. When he took down Sylar, all he did was put his hand over Sylar's mouth, which caused him to pass out.

There's a good chance he can only erase people's mental abilities and cause them pass out only through physical contact. After Claire's father kidnapped the police officer, he told the Haitian to erase his memory, causing the Haitian guy to walk towards the police officer, before the camera cuts away. In the hospital, where Claire's father once again asks the Haitian guy to wipe out a memory, the Haitian guy walks towards Claire's rapist and closes the curtains around him. If he had the ability to wipe out memories through his mind alone, he wouldn't need to walk towards the victim and keep a close distance to the one he is performing it on.

In the hospital, he could have easily wiped out the rapist's memory from another room or the hallway where no one would see him.

That's right, there were direct mentions of the Haitian erasing people's memories.

I've got to go back and watch the whole thing from square one.

As for the mental abilities, I thought it was established that all of these powers come from the brain, and are therefore mental abilities. So why couldn't he stop Nathan Petrelli?

I thinnk it may have something to do with expectation. Maybe the Haitian wasn't expecting Nathan to bounce as quickly as he did, so he was caught off-guard.

The Haitian is a quiet character very mysterious, It would be really nice to here him talk or something.

But the character that is probably most scary or mysterious is the little boy who was in the Indian guys dreams. That was mysterious for sure.

I love Heroes. Its got one of those stories that doesnt feel like it's been done before, atleast not on television.

Its like Lost, but they dont drag plotlines out and it actually goes somewhere!!
