If there are giant squid and giant jellyfish, I think it's somewhat reasonable to believe that there may be a snake out there 4 times larger than anything we've ever found. More reasonable than some other cryptoids, anyway.

Yeah. Noone knows whats out there. The Ocean creeps me out the fact that something like only 5% of the worlds sea's have been explored. Anything could be out there. What if there was a 200ft Sea snake of some description ?

We would know about it because it would have to surface ot breathe. Something that big would be picked up by a satellite, someone will think it was an enemy ship, lok at it and hey presto its on the news.

As for that video, its pretty sick looking. And they probably contributed to the death of that snake in denying its meal.
The meal in question wasn't a hippo, it was a tapier.

And that is why i would never ever go into the amazon, that is a BIG snake. I bet there is one out there :|

It probably was puking it because it was too big. My ball python female won't eat so it was forcefed. It was given two mice and it puked one out. I doubt, though, that this anaconda puked because it didn't like it.

Big snake, though

Though not as big as the reticulated python.

You know, it would be creepy if the Sukuriju did exist. Its creepy enough with them regal pythons and anacondas, if I go to a jungle, I'm definetley bringing along an AK.

a hundred feet maybe, 200 feet, not likely.

Funny signature, RussianSoldier, but the point is moot. Just like american "patriotic" statements À-la "We'll get you before you get us!" :-P

I think the biggest reported was like 120 ft. I too am sure that NO snake will EVER grow 200 feet not even in your WILDEST imagination.

It was regurgitating it because it felt threatened. Didn't you see the people? They were hitting it's head and scaring it and it wanted to run away. It could'nt do that with a tapir in side it so it spat it out.

I doubt a snake could even grow to 90 feet, never mind 120.

This page has information on the reticulated python. The largest recorded specimen (and largest in the world) was about 35 feet. However the largest unmeasured sighting was approximated to around 65 feet.

Psh 200 foot snake is easy to find.. Just find some freak with a thing for threading dead things together an eventually you'll find yourself with a 200ft snake

Though the only place I can figure a snake that big would be some kind of sea snake that doesnt need to come up for are(evolved to an extent)
Some people who were freaking out could easily say a 30 foot snake is 200 feet because humans exagerate a lot

Just thought I should add a lil somethin since im new

All reptiles need to breathe to live. If it was to evolve, it must evolve from a fish. Think of cetaceans. They have evolved for millenia and they still need air.

Impossible for a python to grow up to 200ft. It wouldn't be able to live because of all the food it has to eat regularly. I think 65ft. would be more reasonable. But even that is extremely huge. Just thought i'd throw in my 2 cents because me too im also new.

65 feet seems too big, but then again, 500 years ago people in England PROBABLY didn't think 15ft snakes existed.

A long time ago they probably didn't think anything the size of the Blue Whale could exist .... but look.

Noone knows for sure and cannot say that this snake exists or 'could never' exist. For all we know there could be something out there like the huge worm/snake things on Tremours the film.

yea...Back then they didn't know a quarter of the animals we know about now. And if we only explored 5% of the ocean. Then i guess we will have a lot more to discover.

I don't really know a whole lot about snakes in general, but I have heard that some, as long as they have an abundant food supply, will grow as big as their surrounding area will let them ?? i.e., some caged won't grow to their max length because of the cage, while others do grow to amazing lenghts in larger cages/exhibits??

So would that not make sense that if there is enough food and room for one that they could grow larger than we may know ?.. I'm sure that they would not have many predators and yes I do agree that movement would be difficult, but it is possible...maybe ?

Snakes are predators and hunters. They have to be able to move quickly, and stealthily in order to catch food.

If one was 100ft long it would be very, VERY, long, fat and heavy. It would likely be unable to move extremely quick which eliminates chasing; branches would be unable to support its weight which eliminates drop down ambushing; and the amount of food it will have to eat to maintain itself will be quite large (an average anaconda eats once every three weeks but one that is twice the size will be forced to eat prolly twice as much, every week and a half) and as snakes are roaming animals it will be forced to change its hunting area as animals get wise.

It is hard to tell how big an animal is if there is no point of referance. People said:"oh I'll just say this snake is 100 feet because it looks like that, sorry to scared to measure it". 30 feet is a big size, too, really big. If you saw a 30ft snake coming towards you you'd be like, damn, look how big it is! Must be 100ft
That is ignorance. But it is also hard to measure, especially when the snake is far from you. Its not like its gonna just sit there and let you measure it or let you come close enough to compare your length to the snake's.

Yea that is definitly true Russian Soldier, people always expand what they see when they talk about it too someone, or even when they see it.

If my reticulated python gets that big, my landlord is going to kill me! I don't see how a snake could possibly get up to 200ft, but in the world of cryptzoology, that sounds actually reasonable. I'd bet on the existence of the 200ft snake before the chupacabra or "little people".

I don't know about that, there have been more sightings off Chupacabra's then there have been of 200ft. snakes. Maybe back in the dinosaur time there was some, I mean there were giant everything, even mosquitos were giant! If they ever find a carcass of a 200ft. snake, I will go crazy! Imagine that in your home town! Even if it is impossible unless you live in the deep jungle...
