Amazing UFO footage from Secret KGB UFO Files

I saw this show before and there is a number of excellent vids and pictures in the show. I didn't find any of the material to be of questionable quality as the idea from the program was to show good stuff.

The vid in question is good. It is hi-res and likely military origin. It was not a plane nor a balloon nor CGI as some are claiming. I can't see it being a training vid since the military says that ufo's are not real and even if they did train for them on what basis are these maneouvers coming from?

As for the video, I doubt that it is an airplane. It descends parallel to the f 16. Normal planes would tilt to descend at that speed.

Some of it might be fake but if we in the land of freedom and opportunity can have UFO conventions and government insiders giving whistleblower testimony then why not also Russia to speak on such matters. I would encourage Vladimir Putin as a show of democracy to let Russian talk more on the UFO matter and even possibly demonstrate evidence they may have regarding a possible extraterrestrial visitation or technology.

No tilting or diving. It stays horizontal as it descends very rapidly into the clouds.

It looks like a saucer.

Maybe it's just me, but this whole video looks like a joke. The shadows on the "saucer" look odd, and the jet looks like a toy.

In the video - if you have the whole video - Sir.Moore - says it was a MIG - and a F-16 doing a photo freindly flight..

And the footage is even older. Remember these films has been laying on a shelf for some time before they got into the KGB document files video.. Series..

Guys ... I think I got it ! I went to the video frame by frame and it would seen that object loses it's shadow in the last , I don't know , 5 frames . Another thing that I noticed is that the sequence when the object disapears has 2 parts . Before it disapears you can see half object penetarting the clouds , although , that looked kind of fake . I wish you didn't have to take my word for it . But I don't know how I can post the stills that I took . Any volunteers to help me with that ?

hmmm..I see a another contrived witing style post trashing Steven Greer's Disclosure Project.

On the subject of Russia UFO's cosmonauts have come foward to "disclose" their experiences witnessing a UFO. I think this is a great show of democracy for Russia. Russia needs more UFO whistle blowers and people in government willing to disclose their experinces witnessing a UFO, possibly extraterrestrial in nature.

Just watched the vid a dozen times. Some things just don't look right to me. The thing that stands out the most to me as being odd is the way the shadow moves along the clouds as the UFO gets lower. It moves in a very odd way. Plus the shadow merges with the UFO befor it's gone down through the clouds. Also the UFO doesn't seem to fade into the clouds. It just there one frame and then totaly gone the next. Seeing as how clouds are mist, it shouldn't just completely disappear like that so suddenly.

I'm going to have to say this is a fake. It just doesn't look right to me.

EDIT: I'd also like to know why the KGB would have footage of an American F-16 and a "UFO"? Makes no sense.

Its just a totally fake.. caus when somethings goes into the cloud then will the clouds dissapeer not everything but a little bit .. like mist..

As already stated, if you look closely and carefully at the head/helmet of the pilot, you can see that he is following the object. Here are some pictures :


The pilot starts to notice the object a few moment after it appears, after the first cloud.


Then the object is passing behind the second cloud and the pilot is watching in front of him for a few moment.


The ufo reappears and the pilot watchs it again as it is descending.


The pilot keeps looking at the object as it is about to disappear under the clouds.


These are just pictures to show the behavior of the pilot. But to clearly see the head moving, watch the video. Pay also attention to the movement of the oxygen mask. After watching the video several times, it looks pretty convincing to me.


This particular "pilot helmet" detail could really be a solid evidence that this object was really there.

Musclor is see the same thing... I tried to make a quicktime movie of that clip..
In quicktime you can go forward and backwards in the frames..
I also see the pilots helmet looking for the "thing".. And just as the thing goes under the clouds - the pilot looks forward -

The odd shadow on the clouds - is caused because clouds are not a strait surface.
The shadow bumps - on the clouds, cause clouds are bumpy.

Its really logic... But who uses logic these days?

I couldn't see theobject that well on my PC so I ran it through a big-screen TV. The pilot's head does move and looks directly at the object. I agree that the thing just does't change pitch. Any aircraft we know of that can descend without changing pitch or slowing down? Maybe a Harrier, but I don't see why an AV-8 would be over there.

EDIT ALERT! If you look nice and close at one of the frames approaching the UFO's disappearance you can see a much nearer, out of focus cloud. This would definitely cause the fade-out effect to be much less obvious. Another point-clouds are not always really dispersed around the edges. I'm sure many of us here are pilots and have seen that a drawn-out fade-out is not always the case. Also the object is descending at a farily fast rate and so the fade-out would not be nearly as obvious as a normal one.

Also if you make it real slo-mo you can see the sun glint off the TOP of the object. Light is a tough thing to fake, same as shadows. You really have to look close at the SECOND run in the clip or at really slow speed. But you can see a faint lightening of the top half of the object. I wish the resolution on the video were better so we could have cleaner lines.

IMHO this is one of the best UFO i have seen.

I'm open to the possibility of extraterrestrial visitation. I'm not 100% convinced either way, but I am convinced that this video is a fake.

The object disappears far to abruptly when it moves behind the first cloudbank, but more importantly, there is something missing which is actually harder to notice when you slow it down frame-by-frame: Motion blur. As the object decends into the second cloudbank, it also begins moving rapidly relative to the camera, but there's no vertical motion blur. It's one of the most common mistakes in compositing, especially prior to the advent of high-colour-resolution CG systems.

And as someone else said here, this "documentary" was actually screened on free-to-air TV in Australia a few nights ago. What's more, it was at least the third time it's been aired. I suspect that this is an old fake sold to the film-makers that they either didn't spot or didn't care about.

Undoubtedly CGI done in maya using a combination of a simple nurbs object (the 'ufo') and some simple shader effects to get the shadowing on the clouds. As someone in the industry I can tell you that photorealistic CGI is already here, not 10 or 20 years from now but exists at this moment done on home PC's.

There are sites full of things that you couldn't tell from real if you tried. I do believe some UFO's are real for the record, but as someone who works within 3d, I can also spot a badly done CGI forgery. (For 3d techies the lighting is matched using a HDRI map).

I can't slow this one down to look at it frame by frame, so I have no opinion on this one. Its a toss up, for me.

I've seen this a number of times on TV here in the UK, mainly ITV during a Saturday and the odd time on Channel 5. Keep an eye out for it, it's usually shown once a year or so.

Goes into a lot of subjects, ESP, UFOs to name a few.
