Well, as it stands, "I'm IN". Looking at my schedule and keeping in mind how much I would like to get away to just have fun, I had to make the right decision. So, count me in on the First Above Top Secret Toronto Gathering on April 1st.

I am looking forward to meeting everyone, to put names to faces and to have a good time with some new friends. Could there possibly be a better way to spend a Saturday; a day in the "Big Smoke" with a bunch of delusional, paranoid conspiracy freaks? Sounds awesome.

I'm wanting to come, but as it stands I'll be busy as hell from about 5:30am to about 9:00pm on that Saturday. I don't know what time you're proposing to meet, but if it's early I definitely can't make it, and if it's late I don't know if I'll have the energy in me to make it. Which really sucks. This event that's happening on April 1st was supposed to have the 25th, but was pushed back one week, otherwise it would have worked great for me.

Have fun guys! Hopefully I can make it. If not, I'll see y'all next time!

We still have time to plan, and I think we can move the date if necessary.
Nothing is set in stone at this point, so let's see what we can do.

It would be great if we could all submit a few available days, and then just find some day in common that everyone is able to be there. It could even be a truckstop brunch in Milton on a tuesday if that's the best time and place for everyone.

Tossing out some ideas.........

If you want to get together for coffee on any given day let me know. I live in Acton and work in Milton.

As to the 1st of April, confirmed, I've got the day off. They didn't even beef about it.

Parr, c'mon, suck it up, you're young. You can make it even if you're late to the party.

OK, this is only a month away, can we finalize things here?

Where?
Who?
When? April 1st, time of day?

I'm in.

Hey masqua, I'm "in". I'm looking forward to meeting you and, of course other ATS members in the area.

One thing....it would be an interesting excercise to go through the member lists to see if we can find other members in the Ontario, Michigan area. There might other members who live within reasonable drive or travel times from Toronto. It is quite reasonable to expect that some members might not even be aware of this ATS meet. If we could access names of members within this area, we could U2U them to inform them of this meet.

As far as dates, times, places being confirmed. As it stands, as long as I have a bit of advanced warning, I'm certain that I can attend. I'm eager to meet the people who are just as paranoid and delusional as I am (j/k).

Hey Intrepid....your'e a mod.....would it be possible to actually post an announcement on the ATS home page for the meeting in Toronto -- that is, once we confirm things?

I think that it would be a good idea if we could have as much "visibility" as possible for this meet. I am certain that there are many members within a reasonable travel time of Toronto who might simply not be aware of the proposed meeting. A small "slug" or banner would certainly help make others aware of this informal gathering.

To elicit great response to the proposed "ATS Toronto meet", I've made a post on the ATS Questions and Biz forumATS Toronto meeting.

I hope Masqua doesn't see this as hi-jacking his thread but I would hope that he would see this as an opportunity to make this a worthy, well-attended meet.

Not a chance, BT...that was a good idea. I'd gladly pay 1,000 points to have the meet come off successfully as well as hopefully see a few more people throw their hat in.

First round is still on me...:w::w::w::w::w:

OK, I think we all agree that this is going down on April 1, 2006 in Toronto, Ontario.

Can we nail down a location and time???
I want to Google a map and call the GO Train for schedules and ticket purchase.

OK, we have decided:

April 1, 2006
Toronto, Ontario
Sneaky Dee's at College & Bathurst

What time is good for everyone?
Do we need to make a reservation?

EDIT: Sneaky Dee's

416-603-3090
431 College Street,
Toronto, Ont.
M5T 1T1

EDIT: I just called Sneaky Dee's, the woman on the phone says that they don't take reservations. She also recomended that if we have a large group, we should arrive before 7:00 pm because it starts to get busy after that, being that April 1st is a Saturday night. She also suggested we stake out some territory near the back of the restaurant around 6:30 if we have more people coming later so that the whole group is together.

Awright, mob up!

Eleven days to go, so I'm giving this a bump. People mentioned having a scout there early, and so I volunteer. If it helps, I'll even wear a tinfoil hat. Don't forget about this, it's the ATS social event of the season.
