Yeah, I apologize to those this type of sentiment may offend. I just believe the new service here is to figure out what the news means to us. And my point for the post was sort of, "do I hope he gets better or do I worry if he does..." type of thing. I will most likely have to post this longer thread related to this elsewhere.

The news is not getting better about Sharon. My heart is with the Israeli people at this time. All we can do now is watch, wait and hope that what ever happens will lead to a safer outcome for all the peoples of the region.

I get a really bad feeling when I think about what could happen if he dies.

Even if he doesn't die, the Country will be a political mess in my view. He was Israeli's leader, the one the people wanted. There really isn't no one else that could replace him...i fear that the replacement would be a hardliner.

Sharon is under anesthesia and is being ventilated, at least for the next 24 hours. He continues to be in serious but stable condition, the director of Hadassah Hospital said. Mor-Yosef stressed that the PM is was still alive, thereby refuting rumors that Sharon had passed away.


This morning, exhortations to pray are being heard across the entire Israeli political spectrum, from religious leaders to secular politicians. Both Labor's Peretz and the Likud's Netanyahu have ordered their parties to cease political activities until further notice.

They have counciled waiting and prayer instead.

The IDF is also praying for “the prime minister’s victory in the fight for his life,” IDF Chief of the General Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz said Thursday afternoon.

I pray for Israel in this time of need and so should others.

Israel needs to stay strong to keep peace in that area.

Sharon is in debt to the devil. It's time to pay the debt.

You know I like TC very much and I think that he is mostly a very straight forward but fair person.

Now it would have been better if an appropriate U2 was send rather than that post.

Just an opinion.

By the way as tragic as the situation with Mr. Sharon we have to be realistic and understand that he was a man in years and that the way he looks could tell that he was not taking care of his diet.

It's very sad that when tragedy strike we tend to take a look at our lives and tried to change our habits.

Mr. Sharon had a warning but he never had the chance to take care.

His job as a Prime minister was very stressful taking in consideration of the volatile situation that he had to deal with in his country.

Now the stress will be pass over to the next Prime minister that will take over such resposibility of taking care of Israel and keep it safe.

Peace for everybody.

You know, they say many times after a person dies, someone who had an intense involvement with them dies shortly afterward. And although there was no love lost between Sharon and Arafat, their involvement was certainly intense...

I was thinking exactly the same thing last night with that "still alive" statement. Very reminiscent of "not dead."

Pretty ironic, isn't it?

Doctor: Sharon Could Be Sedated for 3 Days

Just thought I would post that since some seem to be saying he is clinically dead. I am not sure just what to make of this. Perhaps they are hoping he will make a change for the better.

Well the latest is that Sharon survived the 9 hours surgery but he is in an induced coma.

He was breading with the help of a respirator and because the coma he can not respond to stimulus.

He will be taken a littler bit at a time from the coma to see how extent is the damage cause by the hemorrhage.

It's the possibility that he may not wake up at all and is also the possibility that he may but with limited functions.

It's very sad indeed.

I guess this is, perhaps the reason the doctors are not coming forward just yet is to give time for the government in Israel to get together and set the new leader in place so the population do not panic.
