Seems like someone removed the yellowstone from the alert list.

Don't like these two, seems like alot of volcanoes are seeing earthquake activity lately.

valkeryie,
Can you tell me why the depth of an earthquake is important and I don't know metrics so what does "km" mean?
Thanks!

Magicarose, seems the shallower the quake the more damage potential. If a powerful quake happened say over 100km deep, it wouldn't be felt or caused as much damage as one that is shallower say at 10 km. Also has something to do with plate boundaries.

The quake analysis has been updated through 06/01/06. Boy what a year so far!

Quake Analysis

Look at the end-of-year projection on 7.0 range if the activity keeps up. holy moly

I agree with you valkeryie. BTW: Great job!

Though I have not posted much during these days, I have been reading all the posts and followed the latest news close up.

Many volcanoes are showing an increased activity, earthquakes are increased and some areas above others seem to show more activity.

For instance, TONGA.
Have you noticed?

I wonder what is taking place on the Plates

and... If something big is going to happen again.

The Indonesia quake & tsunami shaked the whole planet.
The Earth seems extremely unstable...

What do you think?
