Content Tagging is Here!

well anxiety if we do that then other members will "lose" out on tagging that thread in my opinion. Some of those threads I have come across have usually one short post in them making it pretty hard to put a legit tag on it. The other members might resort to putting non related tags on threads and end up getting the tag taken off and losing points,so for those that have not read the rules for tagging, and are currently tagging, do not put non related tag items in the threads, you WILL lose points and get the tag REMOVED!

Anx I already tested that and it just kicks the one you have a duplicate of off the system.

I was also wondering how many mods are "dedicated" to the tagging system to remove any content not pertaining to the thread at hand?
Or is there not enough tags yet to need this?

I'm not too worried about anyone losing out because of the vast amount of threads that need tagging. There are 186,196 board threads, and we've only covered 25,645 of those.

I do find those 1 post threads, and if they're tagged and I can't add anything, I just pass them by.

I started a thread in the newbie forum to try to get new members to do some tagging to get some quick points.

If anyone can think of more ways to promote this project, get them out there.

Main board ATS page, to the right and under the large red 'Ads by Goooooogle' space. Each time a tag is made, the page refreshed, the tag is visually added and can be then clicked to take a member to the recently tagged thread.

How are taggers handling the introduction threads? There must be at least 20,000 of them, mostly 1 original post with the same added moderator 'help' posts to aid the new members way into ATS.

I've been tempted to just put the members name as a tag, but resisted so far.

Any ideas?

I am suprised so little of ATS have actually tagged. and only 14% of the threads have been tagged? Thats scary to think how many threads are really on here

I bookmarked the main pages for my own use, but link buttons on the main pages would be better.

This is what I came in here to suggest. I find myself wanting to hit a button to take me to these pages, but now I have bookmarked them.

I still like the idea of maybe one button on the main page to go into tagland and access the others from there.

I hope I don't miss anyone, but I just rolled down the master list of taggers and noted down these numbers.

Oh I sleep, I just don't have a schedule or own a watch.
Quite often this machine is connected to ATS while I do other stuff, and then I just refresh the pages to keep track of what's going on.

But I did just get up about an hour ago, and it's almost 7:30 PM

I see some people have been busy while I slept.
chissler put in over 600 tags today, what can I say, Wow.....

These 10 hour shifts fly by when ATS keeps busy. 8 hours down and 2 more to go, see if i can get a few more tags up and going haha.

I can't understand why more aren't getting into this project. Is there an unwillingness to get into this because of some reason I can't understand?

If it's the racking up of points which stops you, ask yourself why Skeptic Overlord would give them out for tagging?

An hour of your time, while you're watching your subscribed threads and posting occasionally, can easily get you through 50 threads to tag.

Come on, ATSers...lets get this over the 25%...we don't have much farther to go.
