The information in the op is horrifying.
There is no excuse for tasing, handcuffing or anything other than holding a child if too violent or isolating the child.
That being said, we should not be surprised that our children are unable to cope with everyday life. The lack of nutrition our children suffer is
outrageous. Starting in the womb, fetuses are being literally starved. When a pregnant woman considers a hotdog, french fries and a fruit pie covers
the food pyramid something is terribly wrong.
Unfortunately, abuse of children has been going on as long as there have been parents and children.
Authorities used to feel comfortable being abusive to the children of the poor because the poor had no recourse in law and, being poor were considered
unreliable in testimony. Nowadays, it seems that not only lack of resources emboldens authorities but also the igorance of parents.
I believe that drugging children to keep them compliant is becoming the norm. I have seen this first hand and it isn't pretty.
