One can learn alot by seeing how a society treats its elderly and children.. How could anyone think that such barbaric methods are necessary to use on children ? The whole thing is sickening..

Epidemic? Half of US teens ‘meet criteria for mental disorder’

Around half of US teens meet the criteria for a mental disorder and nearly one in four report having a mood, behavior or anxiety disorder that interferes with daily life, American researchers say.

Fifty-one percent of boys and 49 percent of girls aged 13-19 have a mood, behavior, anxiety or substance use disorder, according to the study published in the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

In 22.2 percent of teens, the disorder was so severe it impaired their daily activities and caused great distress, says the study led by Kathleen Merikangas of the National Institutes of Mental Health (NIMH).

I'm simply speechless...partly because if the assessment is wrong, what that implies....and partly because if the assessment is right, what that implies...

Good grief.

I still try to generate them when I can.

Life imposes upon occasion.

I still manage one or two a month, though, I think.

Take a look and see if there is anything that interests you.

Psychopaths pull the strings. They are at the top, and have infiltrated our societal system to such an extent, and for such a duration of time, that their pathology has infected society as a whole, including every individual within it to some extent.

The OP clearly shows this.

It is NOT conscionable to take kids to jail because they see the insanity of the system around them and choose to rebel.

We feed them contaminated food-like substances. Send them to brainwashing camps from age 4 or 5 on. Inject them with various pathogens, heavy metals, and other contaminants periodically, and subject them to a soulless, cultureless, greed driven, power hungry society engineered to oppress the majority and benefit the mostly already established minority.

The insidious demonisation of our youth is one of the areas of society that really gets my hackles up.

Even though this thread is now approaching 5 years old it is even more prevalent in today's society than it was when this was originally written.

And really, should we be demonising them? Isn't it us that have left them with no hope for a future better than our own? I am speaking from the standpoint of a 40 year old that has done better than his own parents but what chances have I left my own children? What world have I left them? When I see today's young people I do not "tut" at them or lambaste their ways, I hang my head in shame at what we, yesterday's generation have left them.

I'm glad this thread popped up again. I missed it the first time around and I think the premise is so true. I think it's both a sad indicator of how our self-absorbed society doesn't want to be inconvenienced, even by our own children AND how the police state has creeped into every aspect of our lives. Criminalization of literally everything.

Indeed.

The problem appears to grow worse with each passing year.

:shk:

I wonder what this thread will look like in another five years...

Glad you like this thread.

Thank you.

I'm quite sure I could Google 20 new examples from this year alone.

If a 10 year old starts punching a cop, I've got to doubt that the message is getting through.

It's a process thing, akin to old-style animal training, and easier to accomplish with young ones. ...People who feel powerless often turn to violence - then "authorities" act to "break their spirits." When said spirit is broken, the individual is compliant and easy-to-control.
