Terror attacks that should have happened.. but have not..

I do think you make a great deal of since in what you say in the majority of your posts tone 23;that's why I gave you a Wats vote for your last post. It is right on the mark. I to believe the WOT is a facade propagated by the neocon fascists that have illegally usurped the power of the United Stated Inc. I know that many of my other posts here have been inflamatory and offensive, especially towards Musilms in general and Souljah in particular. I do indeed feel a sense of remorse for being so caustic and I do whole heartedly apologize to the Muslims of the world for my lack of consideration and crude mannerisms. I am conflicted in a sense because I truely support the troops of my nation (USA) and am appreciative of all the sacrifices they make doing their duty to protect us on the homefront. However, I have had a change of heart regarding my attitude toward the Muslim community at large. I was deluded by the official sources of information into buying the government's version of the WOT. However, recently I have had an awakening of spirit that has allowed me to see the awful truth that my government has purpetrated on the world community in the WOT. This WOT has been orchestrated to further American hegemony in areas of the Middle East in strategic support of Israel.

Right I'm going to use "could" instead of "should" for this.

In my mind I almost expect there to be a Beslan type attack either in Britain or America. Particulaly effective for the terrorists would be several locations at once. If fear is what they are after, I don't see what could be more effective really.

That's a funny thought infinite, seeing taht you are a citizen of the UK I am sure you have much more to worry about with your own country's domestic surveillance. As for me, I do not care about the FBI.I will say what I want to say and they can devote any resources they deem fit to watch,monitor or otherwise harrass me. I know the powers of the FBI and their limitations. I am a former United States Federal Law Enforcement officer. I used to hold the rank of GS-7-4 and was about to be promoted to GS8-5 when I resigned from Federal service. The FBI is a fine agency with an important mission. It is just too bad that the lCommander-in-Chief of my nation is so misguided.

US taxpayers ensure that the terrorists are comfortable and the FBI in colusion stands by as a lapdog.Althougth, in dealing with the terrorists the FBI commonly circumvents US law and provides contraband to the terrorists in exchange for so called human intelligence. So what grounds does the FBI have in enforcing any law? I think its a situation of do as I say not as I do.

Well, if you was a terrorist and wanted to cause the most choas and most deaths, you would attack the water supply. Plus you would release deadly biological agents into the air (like the Sarin gas attack on the Tokyo subway system).

To be effective, terrorists will hit where they are not expected. The high-rise apartment scenario is technically flawed. This is because high rise building are designed to resist unusual stresses. The scenario may be effective on older low-rise buildingd.
9/11 was not the first time an aircraft was crashed into one of the twin towers. A prefious attempt with a small aircraft created a fire that was limited to two floors. The collapse of the towers on 9/11 was apparently as much of a suprise to the terrorists as it was to the building's designers. I think the terrorists had hoped to hit the building hgh enoughand with enough accelerant that everone on the upper floors would be killed. As I recall, analysis of the rubble indicated the heat from the fire melted mounting structure for the initerial dampeners ( Huge solid blocks of concrete mounted in the top of the buildings to reduce swaying in high winds ) causing the multi-kiloton blocks to fall, wiping out the central core and floors below and effectively imploding the buildings.

drop a match or better fuse at a gas station or a propane storage tank with the valve open/fuel running.
just kill people with a reckless driving rampage in a crowded mall or a concert.
put metal spikes in food at a restaurant.
replace a shipment of medicine with poison.
burn a school when everyone's in the gym for an assembly.
food and water is the obvious one.
and, propane tanks or oxygen tanks are amazingly destructive. just throw one or two onto a pile of burning garbage and run like hell.
take some hostages, kill one or two of them for street cred.
terror is so simple.

i think, if i wanted to scare people, i would use a more anticipatory approach. many red herrings, and few actual terror events. it is the anticipation that is 'terror', and the events are 'horror'.

It was clear, to me at least, that poster was making a joke. And yes, this is the internet, we all have to put up with that type of crap. As long as we dish plenty out we'll break even. Relax.

As for the topic, I agree, the threat is way overblown, I'm sure it exists but not to the extent the government wants us to believe. I think most terrorist groups recieve their backing from various governments, and I'm sure it is alot more well known who supports who than our government will let us in on. I also believe there are deals made behind very closed doors between governments that employ certain groups, perhaps unknowingly to them, to help push certain agendas. So I agree, if they really wanted to hit us they would, but never to an extent that will bring down our nation because that's not part of the plan, IMO. For instance if a terrorist group were to start nuking US cities, you can bet the US will start nuking ALL possible enemy countries that could be behind it, we'd take everybody down with us.
