Good points, and sorry for your loss. I've asked my brother (who is gay), and as I thought, he too believes this to be a bad idea. Not for discriminating, or anything else, but for the same reason I first mentioned....
Such a school will NOT prepare the student for the realities of society after graduation. Likewise, he and I agree that tax-payer dollars should not go towards such a school, except in the form of the voucher program, and it should be a private school. However, if I were the parent of a gay student, I would NOT want them to go to this school. They will have to learn that not all of society tolerates them, and they will have to deal with it. I'd rather them learn that sooner rather than later, and also learn it without trying to also put food on the table and pay the bills.
Looks like Hispanics are not to pleased with this school. They are threating to sue,if the school opens
