I'm not so sure I'd be too quick to accept this as the explanation as the final answer. First, we need to make sure those feds who took over the investigation didn't have a bunch of ISIS stickers in their back pockets and fake IED's in their trunk...to make it look (conveniently) like it was a Muslim terrorist, when in fact it may have been some angry liberal anarchist fuming over the recent election!

Pretty sad to see how far our leading law enforcement agency in the World has fallen in terms of trust by the American people!

latest news is the suspect is dead after a firefight with police.

The suspect who drove into crowds in New Orleans this morning was killed after a firefight with police, law enforcement officials have told the AP news agency.

Ten people died during the incident and at least 35 people were injured following the incident at approximately 3.15am this morning (9.15am UK time).

The FBI has said it is investigating the attack as an "act of terrorism".

Just wait for the president to come out and make some statement about this being yet another reason to outlaw guns, when the driver and the SUV did all the killing, not any firearm. I can just about guarantee some democrat will respond this way, I'm just waiting to see who the first one is.

I was reading that the guy who attacked and killed that CEO has been labelled a terrorist. Kinda mad for him to be and this guy not.

Once they got your guns, they'll take away your trucks and all you will be allowed is a Suzuki Jimni or Bedford Rascal.

Following confusion from different branches of the authorities who’ve been discussing the fatal attack on the public in New Orleans in the early hours of New Year’s Day, there is now a clearer line.

The FBI has just said it is investigating the tragedy “as an act of terrorism”, Reuters now reports.

Also, several media outlets and local political leaders are saying the suspect in the attack is dead. We’ll bring you more details as they emerge and are confirmed.

That was very weird press conference because the Mayor said it was a Terrorist attack, then 5 minutes later when that FBI lady came on and said it wasn't a Terrorist attack. I rewound her words a few times cause I thought she might have said "tourist" since they were talking about how many tourists vs locals were hurt and killed, but she indeed said not a Terrorist attack.

Sure sounds like a Terrorist attack though. Killed 10, about 40 injured, shot 2 cops and then numerous IEDs found. What else would you call that and i don't care about "official definitions" this is a Terrorist attack, the people in New Orleans are gonna be scared to go the Sugar Bowl today and I'm not sure if they are having a parade?
Could be more attacks and who knows where more IEDs are hidden?

The confusion instilled by authorities is 100% INTENTIONAL, not an error or mis-speak 😬

The vehicle had TX plates. The murderer driving was considered a local, as in lived in the area but undisclosed for how long. Also undisclosed if the vehicle was owned by the killer. Killer shot two cops, both in satisfactory condition. Heavy duty barricades were not employed AT THE TIME. Unknown if they were ever used for this New Years celebration or used and retracted by 3am. He had explosive devises in the vehicle which have now been deployed in a safe location.

It is being considered a terrorist act. The suspect was shot and killed by police.

It's Not a Terroist Attack unless it was a White Person.

i've just two, one with the flag either rolled up or someones vest /jacket wrapped around it and this video which shows the emt's working on the suspect with the flag and pole gone.

Circled in red on the right hand image here is a black (maybe)flag with white markings on it.
This isn't the actual article,but a link to an article-if you click the link,there is no such image-only the ones with the grey jacket covering the black item.

Hard to tell for sure what the flag is-but not many use black flags do they.

Edit-looking at it more-I can't be sure if the image isn't just the jacket but under different lighting conditions as the image isn't that good.
