Canada has nothing to do with the British monarchy other then symbolism.

Erm...... that symbolism is that he is your Head of State being part of the Commonwealth, and you have a constitutional monarchy. Get rid of him and you'll have a Republic. But I get some Canadians would rather be a Republic and out of the Commonwealth.

PS, just seen alldaylong's reply to you too. Are you an actual Canadian? Asking for a friend.
Nobody has said he has any kind of power at all. The problem is, you'd have to go Republic with a written constitution if you want to get rid of Charles.

Having looked him up and found he detests WEF....... I like him too!
I think he and Trump will get on very well

Maybe they'll just get rid of Quebec unless France goes right in their next GE.
Sadly we are lumberred with a fully paid up member of WEF who even said he'd rather be in Davos than Westminster. His predecessor Tony Blair even sits on WEF's board of trustees FFS! We are so screwed for the next 4.5 years!
Anyway, I digress, my apologies.

Trump's idea to make Canada the 51st US state: 'Potential is massive'

trump has had a lot of ideas in the past....

Any man that can bankrupt a casino, is the perfect person to lead a nation in massive historical debt; perhaps the US should just declare bankruptcy....trump is the perfect leader for that scenario!

We Brits have an expression:

"Couldn't organize a pish up in a brewery".

To answer your question, yes. She is wrong, about pretty much everything.

Ok then. I will keep a more open mind, thanks for sharing your more informed opinion. I have heard and seen more than just Katie Hopkins and this......

The U.K. has made progress — but risks backsliding, he says

For the first time, the United Kingdom has no white men leading its four main governments. Sunak, who was born in England to African-born parents of Indian descent, is the first British prime minister of color. The leader of Scotland, Humza Yousaf, is a Muslim of Pakistani descent. Zambian-born Welsh leader Vaughan Gething is Europe's first Black head of government. Northern Ireland is led by two women.

Just seems like things are trending in the wrong direction

Why London's Muslim mayor needs the same security as the king

I will continue to keep an open mind and consider the chances I am not reading the situation correctly

This happens to your Head of State too.... in the middle of the Scottish Highlands, middle of nowhere and not another soul in sight. Think he garners rather a lot more respect from people in general than your Trudeau WEF puppet... hope you get rid of T soon.

As Canadian -- absolutely not.
Today some Canadians might cheer the idea, but in four years hypothetical Biden will take the White House and then what? There is no coming back! Although I can see some sort of a referendum in Ontario, for example. And if Trump gives 5 mil cash to each Ontarian as a bonus then we will think about it. We have car batteries megafactory being built in ON. Car industry will bloom. But what do I know...))

Overall in my opinion, the US has to show a prolonged period of stability in a number of ways and base it's foreign policy on fair business, and not extortion, racket, manipulating the masses in a sociopath manner and certainly not wars.

Looking at that list most appear to be Trump international hotels. If you are a hotel owner you can pay to be branded as a Trump hotel or casino. Basically you pay Trump a couple of million a year for the name and use of Trump products and services. Because hotels declare bankruptcy has nothing to do with Trump. Has to do with the management of that facility.

I suspect alot more Trump hotels ect as his popularity overseas increases. For example I could see a hotel rebrand to Trump in places such as Egypt or even Dubai.

Thanks, I will. I also, even when strongly disagreeing, I try to be considerate and respectful. It's not easy for any of us but it is better that way. I learn a great deal from these discussions, researching. I mean, to your point Jane, many people believed it when Kamala Harris said the borders were secure and Biden was sharp as a tack.

That part was not the point just part of the excerpt I included. C'mon, we never discussed gender nor was it my point at any time.

No, my point was that the political representation in the UK is Indian, African and Pakistan-muslim and how that seems very different from the UK I remember. The two women line was at the end and did not have anything to do with the point I was making. Just stop it, we all know Margeret Thatcher and Theresa Mary, nobody in this discussion has ever pointed out gender as an issue. Would you have rather I edit it out of the excerpt? Ugh, c'mon,. So disingenuous.

Sunak is gone. We voted him out.

So, get up to date?

You posted about "two women"?

As if that was somehow wrong.

Now that's a fair critique.
Getting back on topic. Looks like the Trump effect is back at work, making a difference before he is sworn in.

Just to point out also, and i hate the overprivileged little twonk, Sunak was born in Southampton.

So he's as British as the rest of us.

I have no opinion about Trudeau as I know nothing about him. But, he's a politician, so I automatically can't stand him.
