It's pointless waste of parliamentary time.

It seems for this government everything is a pointless waste of parliamentary time as once again they were rebuked this time by the Deputy Speaker for announcing to the press before Parliament , I'm sure the debate will be more then worthy of parliamentary time.

The look given to Phillips by Eagle is priceless.

They got rightly told off by the deputy speaker for not following parliamentaey procedure. Just as the previous government was told off when they failed to follow it.

A debate on this joke petition is still a waste of time.

I think it will l have a much impact or relevance as the petition on staying in the EU.

It's pointless waste of parliamentary time.
I agree with Gortex, I think the debate will be a good opportunity for voters to hear the various opinions of the MP's after 6 months of Labour's reign.

If Farage shares his cutting views, I think it will be worth watching just to see School Prefect Starmer squirm!🤣

Unlike the opportunity they get a PMs questions every week.

I squirm when I hear Farage speak as well. Sometimes even rapid onset of nausea. He just has that effect on people.

OMG please don't tell me that FDS will become the new strain/variant of TDS this winter...on top of the "quaddemic" we're all supposed to be scared of now?!!!!!
😱🫣🤣

*Edit
I just checked ChatGPT, apparently it only affects 'some' people, so I'm less concerned now!🤪

Pmsl! Yep, I'll give you that!🤣

I reckon you could tell him to his face though, and he'd probably laugh and make a good comeback joke though!
...School Prefect Starmer would just take deep offence and tell his old mates in the CPS to # you over in some way!😱

The odds on him being PM have dropped, apparently.

Can't see it happening, but it would ruffle a few Establishment feathers...

Oh ruffled feathers would be the least of it!!!

It's SO unlikely, that I expect it to happen now, just to end the crazy 2020's which has to have been THE most crazy decade so far since maybe WWII
...and if I'm honest, with Starmer's (and others) obsession with '2030' plans/deadlines, I reckon Prime Minister Farrage and his mate Trump, would be a less scary thought than Starmer sucking China off 'for the people' 😱

Funny comparison. As much as I think Trump is a slug in suit he has won the US election twice and is highly successful.

Farage took 8 attempts to become a back bench MP.

Same with how many years his fight to leave the EU took...it certainly show's he isn't a quitter, that's for sure!👍

Next Spring should be interesting.

To
@Keir_Starmer

As you know I’m updating your biography Red Knight to be released next Spring. It will address Labour’s manifesto and promises after 6 months in office. I am struggling to keep up with all the revelations and would ask you to pause for a few weeks to let me catch up.
Thank you.
x.com...

The government has released a response to the petition which currently has 2,977,002 signatures.

Their response is full of their favourite buzzwords and phrases and shows that is all they are , a government of lies.

This Government was elected on a mandate of change at the July 2024 general election. Our full focus is on fixing the foundations, rebuilding Britain, and restoring public confidence in government.

The Prime Minister can call a general election at a time of their choosing by requesting a dissolution of Parliament from the Sovereign within the five-year life of a Parliament. The Government was elected by the British people on a mandate of change at the July 2024 general election.

This Government is fixing the foundations and delivering change with investment and reform to deliver growth, with more jobs, more money in people’s pockets, to rebuild Britain and get the NHS back on its feet. This will be built on the strong foundations of a stable economy, national security and secure borders as we put politics back in the service of working people.

On entering office, a £22 billion black hole was identified in the nation’s finances. We inherited unprecedented challenges, with crumbling public services and crippled public finances, but will deliver a decade of national renewal through our five missions: economic growth, fixing the NHS, safer streets, making Britain a clean energy super-power and opportunity for all. This is what was promised and is what we are delivering.

The Government’s first Budget freed up tens of billions of pounds to invest in Britain’s future while locking in stability, preventing devastating austerity in our public services and protecting working people’s payslips.

Mission-led government rejects the sticking-plaster solutions of the past and unites public and private sectors, national, devolved and local government, business and unions, and the whole of civil society in a shared purpose. The Government will continue to deliver the manifesto of change that it was elected on.

OMG, I laughed! Spring is when we have the Council elections too

There were a couple of clips of farmers and one nonfarmer at the tractor protests today, they were emotional. One guy isn't even a farmer and said he'd never protested in his life and got really emotional when interviewed by Bev Turner this morning. Worth watching Michelle Dewsbury's cover of it in her programme.

We had a tractor protest in Shropshire today , I caught a bit of the disruption but one of the other drivers who encountered it said there was about 40 tractors doing 5mph down the A5.

I support our farmers.

I tried to post a thread about the scum family that beat and tortured 10 year old Sara Shariff to death.

Couldn't get it to work.

BBC News - Behind Sara Sharif’s smile was a life of violence and torture - BBC News
www.bbc.co.uk...

Absolutely failed by Social Services.

I'm mostly against the death penalty, but believe there should be some exemptions.

Social workers? Manslaughter.

Unspeakable.

Hope these animals have a "nice" time in prison.

I wanted to post a rant thread about this but stopped myself.
Really distressing thoughts of how she must have suffered 😢 I couldn't be a prison officer protecting these scum...I really really couldn't 🤬
