So it would seem a lot like our goverment, which makes an agreement to make an agreement as they are leaving office. Okeydokeyfinethen.

p.s. I am talking about the government of a Dependency Territory, not the U.S.

It would appear to me that the denizens of Canada, UK, Germany, Italy and Greece are drifting from left-centre to right-centre or even to the conservative side. It's hard not to when your economy is in the crapper. It's good to have dreams, and green dreams are good; they shouldn't be paid for on the backs of the working class. In my very humble opinion.

Elon Musk has called for the King to dissolve Parliament over the government's rejection of a request by Oldham Council for an independent national inquiry into the despicable grooming gangs, which by all accounts continue to this day.
The last King to do that, against the sitting Government, was King Charles I. He actually did it 3 times between 1625 and 1629. It didn't end well. It led to Civil War and ultimately his execution and a considerable change in the Law to a Monarch's role in 'ruling' the country. It doesn't mean King Charles III can't though.
The last King that did this under 'advice' from the then sitting PM (Lord Grey) was King William IV in 1831 (against William's 'better judgement').
Since 1629, the Monarch has never dissolved Parliament (unless called to do so as in the case of Grey/William) on his own whim. It has always been Parliamentary 'protocol' to dissolve Government when they call a GE and the sitting Monarch gives ascent to do so.
Sadly, it would appear the current King Charle's is more in lockstep with the current Government than his loyalty to his subjects.

I wouldn't be expecting much action out of this king who, lets face it, used to be awfully matey with jimmy Savile.

Inte3resting that Jess Phillips ( so well known for her fight against misogyny) has also turned down the calls for an inquiry.

January 6th on Monday so the Parliamentary debate on the Petition calling for a General Election happens with the tally standing at 3,014,555 signatures.

I know it won't achieve anything other than bring more embarrassment for Labour but at this early stage that's good enough , it's a minor skirmish in a larger war.

Thursday 9th Jan is deadline day for Councils to respond to Labours plan to Postpone some Council Elections or perhaps all for anyone knows , I guess we will discover the outcome of their attempt to subvert Democracy sometime this month.

Twenty Labour Councillors have left the Labour party in Broxtowe, Nottinghamshire, now forming an Independent party in protest about Starmer's leadership.
When will Starmer's leadership become untenable?

He's allowed to have an opinion isn't he?
Or is he not allowed to have one?
That would be rather like "you can only have an opinion on the Labour party if you are a fully paid up member. The rest of you can shut up and suck it up."
Are we not allowed to have opinions and voice them about US Presidents even though we are not US citizens?
Hope that helps

I think it's the business of anyone who believes in free speech and Democracy as both are being eroded by this government , they are also threatening to put social media bosses of which Musk is one in prison for parental abdication of their duty to safeguard their own children online.

Possibly if you about to be a part of the US government, then calling for the unconstitutional overthrow of the government of an allied nation is an opinion you would be better keeping to yourself.
