We can be skeptical and point out other motives from TPTB, but realistically, how does a deal get done in good faith if the hostages aren’t reconciled?

What does the size of the country matter? A genocide isn't that difficult for a smaller nation to execute when they're armed and funded by the most powerful nation on Earth.

Hamas has their outside ties to Iran too.

They knew what would happen when they carried out their attack with zero regard to the people of Gaza. Palestinians would be wise to find someone else to rule Gaza, someone with their best interests, and not blood as their first priority.

Notice too, that while all the Arab countries are screaming genocide, not one has stepped up to offer refuge. That’s not to say they never have, it’s to say Egypt, Lebanon, and Jordan have in the past, only to have their new guests attempt a coup.

This conflict has been going on longer than I’ve been here, and likely once I’m gone. Likely because it’s too nuanced for any mortal to figure out.

They also issued a warrant for Hamas commander Mohammed Deif but Israel believe they've already killed him.

I doubt anything will come of this as the US and Britain will oppose it as they've complicit in Netanyahu's escapade of destruction but it is a fitting end to his political career.
