You are so right about him making it too obvious. Never thought about that. That is some brains from him and his guys.

Did Paul lose? Yes
Did Mike lose? No
Did Paul win? No
Did Mike win? No

Let me explain.. As a 27 year old man he should have 'fought' Tyson and he did not. Paul looked afraid when engaged. He should have attacked him but he knew what was there. Mike can't move but he can hit.

It was sad to see Mike in the fight. He looked like an old junkyard dog who knows what he could do at one time but there was a chain there.

I saw plenty of chances not taken. The fight progressed but there was no 'wow' moment.

Should have been declared a draw. No one won. Only regret is there is not a piece of Pauls ear still in the ring.

Mike I am sure is high as a kite right now on some shrooms laughing all he way to the bank....and Jake Paul, he is not a good boxer. Sorry.

He really isn't. I've watched him fight, not the Tyson fight, but other fights and he's really not very good. He's too stiff, and he doesn't move well. That kind of a fighter needs a long reach, and while he may have the arm length, he doesn't have the punching "reach". He fights like a tree. He also doesn't seem to have the moves to put his body weight behind his punches.

If you watch a true fighter like a Tyson when he was younger, or Holyfield, Foreman and/or even Cooney (Spinks and so many others); those guys were true fighters. When they punched they rotate their whole body into their punches. Paul just punches straight. And then there's...Muhammad Ali who was the total package. Put a fighter like Paul in the ring with a fighter with even 50% of the talent of Ali, and Paul would be destroyed by the 2nd round.

Probably all coordinated ahead of time to up the hype and thus the PPV subscribers.

The fight was not PPV. It was on netflix.

Well, a fight like that being rigged kind of makes sense...in a backwards sort of way.

Tyson is never coming back to the ring in a professional sense, not at a competitive level anyway; he's just too old. So, winning a top level fight isn't in the cards for him anymore. Winning tens of millions in prize money by "winning" top-card fights ain't happening. So, what does this leave? Well, if he can pick up a few dozens of millions (likely more than that) on PPV to throw a fight against some social media 'influencer', then why not do it?

And...if you're gonna' do it, then you might as well make it look obvious too! Even a 58 year old geezer like Tyson isn't going to run out of gas by the 3rd round. 6th or 7th maybe, but not the 3rd.

Twisted? Yes, but believable and plausible. Just the comment about his deceased daughter alone would have cost Paul an appendage (ear, nose, leg, etc.)... if the fight had been real. Probably all coordinated ahead of time to up the hype and thus the PPV subscribers.

I knew it was going to happen too. Jake Paul "taking the belt" was worth more than Tyson defending his legacy and sustaining his value as an athlete for the next 10 years, it's unrealistic and they needed a halfway decent excuse to phase him out (with dignity intact) and get Jake the notoriety to keep consumers engaged. The fight was thrown and I knew instead of watching it happen, I could just read about it in the headlines a month or a year from now when Tyson admits it because what are they going to do. It's only a matter of time.

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

I would be fine with everything you just wrote, had you only used one of the many indicators that signify that what you are typing is your opinion.

I think ...
It seems to me..
I believe ...

You made some bold claims. Bold claims require tight evidence. It's the rule. ... .... .... that I just ... made up.

My son and I talked about this. To me It is fear of getting hit. He fights with his shoulders 'back' if that makes sense. He played the game and kept Mike away to try to get the decision. No intention of a KO.

I lost $100, and I'm glad for the opportunity to have bet on Iron Mike. I don't think Mike is done. I have no data to support that claim. It's not a claim. It's a personal belief. I think Mike is going to train, and train, and remerge in a way that will suprise us in which we can't imagine. You go Mike.

Nope, what I said was that I knew, I never said I could prove anything. It may be opinion but it seems to be common consensus from the media I've been looking at. And what else did I say? Wait for it to be printed. Eventually Tyson is going to be questioned and he's going to tell the truth because who's going to stop him?

Paul was pretty nice IMO, after the 1st round it was pretty obvious he had nothing to fear, but he didn’t go for blood, which is what “Iron Mike” had threatened to do to him.
