Orlin Norris was shorter at 5'9.5". So Tyson has fought, at least one shorter fighter.

Oooh, I didn't catch the knuckle dragging! That's red rag to a bull and dispicable behaviour!
As to Tyson's legs, I've seen him almost take off in an upper cut to taller opponents and floor them. I remember watching him when he won his first belt with my Dad (long time dead now) and I'm sure he did it to his opponent, Berbick I think (?) and my dad let out a huge "Oooofff"!

Mike Tyson is a killer. Paul is an athlete. There is a large difference. Mike wants to kill you in the ring. Paul wants to win.

Perfectly said. Mike is old school. He knows that the shattering punch begins in the legs, and the snap between the legs, the waist -- stomach muscles -- and the upper body is what makes the blow powerful. It is something that a great boxer practices over and over and over until muscle memory takes over.

Mike is old school. Old school got to BE old school by adapting and staying alive. To antagonize Mike Tyson at 58 years old is to risk your life. To antagonize Mike Tyson at 85 years old is to risk your life. Mike believes in treating people well, as he wants to be treated, but there is a lizard brain down deep -- as with all of us -- that should never be provoked.

In some ways, this reminds me of the last Rocky movie, where Stallone loses to the younger champion, but gains his respect and can finally lay his angst down. I hope if Mike doesn't win, that he can go out like that. I continue to think that Mike will toy with Paul for a couple of rounds to get the feel of him, and then unleash his payback for the sins of Paul.

HERE's what's going to be good to watch! Not the fight, but rather how his stoopid social media brother, like Jake, speaks at his burial. THAT will be interesting.

When this first started out, this pussy was just looking to make a buck on social media. THEN, this punk got so full of himself as a faux-boxer and social media star, he convinced himself he could beat a retired Mike Tyson...the most feared boxer of all.

But there's one difference this time...this fighter made Tyson "Angry" when talking about his daughter who died several years back from Accidental strangulation (I think). that alone would make me want to exterminate my opponent, BUT, my opponent has never been Mike Tyson! Bad move, on this "influencer's" part..

This JakePaul character should be praying for his life right now...because he has no idea how serious his opponent is for taking it.

Tyson doesn't want to kill someone; he just wants to win. But sometimes "life" gets in between the way!

GO TYSON!!!

I'm PRAYING Paul lands a shot, and brings out the animal in Iron Mike. I didn't hear about the daughter comment, but that alone would have me beating the brakes off somebody. I keep hearing they're friends, then I hear things like the daughter comment.

Time will tell, but I'm hoping for a shot of Paul on his back after his mouth guard flew into the 5th row.

This fight was about as exciting as Geraldo Rivera unveiling Al Capone's safe

Well it’s now clear Tyson has not found the fountain of youth. That was pretty sad to watch.

The women's fight before had me going.

And now I'm back to not watching boxing.

Mike sold himself off.

Disappointment. But the welterweight fight was pretty damn solid.

Disappointing fight. Mike is just too old. The Taylor-Serrano fight was the fight of the night.

The netflix feed was terrible. Very frustrating trying to watch the fights. Freezing, buffering. Poor video and audio.

I thought it was a good fight. This is what I meant when I said that if Mike looses, I hope he has a Rocky-like moment, where he is given respect. I think Paul did that very well in what he said after the fight.

Taylor and Serrano was a great fight. This is the second time they've met, having fought in 2022 also. Taylor was accused of intentional headbutting. It's clear that she made contact, but I don't know anyone who uses their face for headbutts. Only she and Serrano know, but I didn't think the headbutts were intentional, but more a effect of Taylor's close work. It seems clear that they need to match up again.

I was happily surprised to see Ray Jones Jr. and Rosie Perez doing ringside commentating, and it was GREAT to see and hear Mauro Renallo again. A few friends of mine can't stand him. He's an acquired taste, I guess. I've always thought his commentating was quirky and enjoyable, especially with the MMA strikeforce bellator, etc. I guess he started annnouncing for pro wrestling. I'm not a wrestling fan, and don't follow it.

He was bought. I hoped at some point he would snap but oh man that agreement must be very powerful and if he did something wrong, it must be more than money in stakes. Imagine chaining a dragon, that is what it was like.

Well, a fight like that being rigged kind of makes sense...in a backwards sort of way.

Tyson is never coming back to the ring in a professional sense, not at a competitive level anyway; he's just too old. So, winning a top level fight isn't in the cards for him anymore. Winning tens of millions in prize money by "winning" top-card fights ain't happening. So, what does this leave? Well, if he can pick up a few dozens of millions (likely more than that) on PPV to throw a fight against some social media 'influencer', then why not do it?

And...if you're gonna' do it, then you might as well make it look obvious too! Even a 58 year old geezer like Tyson isn't going to run out of gas by the 3rd round. 6th or 7th maybe, but not the 3rd.

Twisted? Yes, but believable and plausible. Just the comment about his deceased daughter alone would have cost Paul an appendage (ear, nose, leg, etc.)... if the fight had been real. Probably all coordinated ahead of time to up the hype and thus the PPV subscribers.
