You walk into a dog park, you'll end up with crap on your shoes.

Yeah, Thune is a weasel, but if he's a smart weasel, he'll play along with the pro-America movement and not out himself as a commie dirtbag liar-coward asstard.

I have. No experience of Defense Intelligence.

Or strategic planning.

I guess we'll see.

That's what I thought.

Totally unqualified for the job.

Trump needs a wise head for this job.

This guy is not it.

The only guys qualified in the lefts eyes are the ones who have already sold this country away.
So frustrating that the left cannot not see this no matter what side of the pond you’re on.
Without the “experts” approval you can’t be an “expert”. Thats how you get in an echo chamber and got blindsided by reality.
It’s the 21st century. Your experts are dinosaurs

Pete Hegseth has been a champion for veterans and has extensive knowledge of how the military works, he has voiced his concerns about the military and how our soldiers fight with a hand tied behind their backs, he authored two books, Modern warriors and War on warriors.

So he does have an advantage due to research.

That was not the point. You said inexperienced. A good leader is one who surrounds himself with those who will benefit all and not himself. Cheney had no experience at that point. It was a political appointment. .

He will have real warriors and soldiers not woke DEI BS advising him.

Just like Thune. He has never had a private sector job. He graduated and went into politics.Romney and McCain both sought to make him their VP. He has made too many deals over his tenure and I would not trust him.

Again, McCain killed the old guard GOP with his thumbs down on Obamacare. He is cut from the same cloth.

Austin was also a MIC stooge who was on the board of Raytheon.
He is the very definition of swamp thing.

a reply to: Vermilion

That's another important point. By putting a smart veteran who loves this country and owes no favors to the MIC or any political contacts. This is also a way to break the chain of the deep state. Hegseth is the perfect MAGA choice for Sec Def. It should come as no surprise he will be met with a great deal of resistance but that goes with the territory. If Hegseth is a threat to the MIC and the deep state we should expect a strong ad hominem campaign waged against him.

Well, he knows what it takes to be in the military, and he can see the issues as to why the military is having such problems. I realize he's not a political general, but I think he might surprise quite a few people. He's a smart guy, and his experience has to do with the military, and military history. Fun fact, everyone who has ever been elected to the office of the presidency had no experience being president.

Yes, a great background as a junior officer, but no experience of Defense Intelligence?

I was thinking how funny it would have been if you replied with......I am not in an "echo chamber"-"echo chamber"-"echo chamber"-"echo chamber".

But seriously, you are not. We can respectfully disagree. I think Hegseth is a great pick and the more I am reading through here the stronger I feel Hegseth is the right guy.

That’s what they all lefties say. That and “both sides are awful”.
Thats huge tell.

I just got thru trolling MSNBC. I drank hundreds of lefty tears. I am in no bubble.

How do you feel about Pete Hegseth as Defense Secretary?

There have definitely been worse. I’m willing to give him a fair shake.

Only red flag to me is him and Huckabee with Israel. Both have publicly said that they believe Israel is essential for the biblical end times. Both seemed a little to giddy for my taste on that matter.

I grew up very Christian, the ones who focused too much on the book of revelations usually gave me the jeebies.

And yes, both sides are awful.

You will excuse me for expressing a different opinion from yours.
