Yes, have to agree with all of you. Some great movies mentioned. Probably may have been easier to mention the Bad movies.

Is there any Reallllly bad movies though. There are certainly some annoying ones........not the following though.

Any way, I'll throw some in.....

The Exorcist.....who could forget that.
The original Planet of the Apes.........great movie.
Omega Man....
Enter The Dragon.....
Blade....there is only one.
Airplane.....well.
Fail Safe....great Coldwar era classic.
All the Airport/ Police story/Naked Gun American comedy classics series.
All the US Tittie Teen Drive In movies of the 80s...starting with Porkies.
All the British Carry On and other classic comedies.
Metropolis....20s magic.
The Enchanted Cottage.....great war era.
Legend....another great RIdley Scott classic.
Labarinth/ Dark Crystal....spooky kids movies.
Critters.....enjoyed it more than Gremlins......maybe Goolies up there to.
The Last Star Fighter...teen Adventure.
Hellraiser original.....scary as Hell.
Evil Dead ......spooky at the time.
All the Slashers...they had their moments....especially at the Drive In or home alone....with your friend.
That Includes Freddy etc.
Life Force....who could not love a 19 year old sexy girl who was Nude thoughout the whole movie.....and then Species.
The many freaky indie type 80s Movies that seemed to work...Toxic Avenger comes to mind.

There are 1000s more.....many enjoyed and forgotten.

Still love the Classic SyFy's from the early days.....War of the Worlds original, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Earth Vs Flying Saucers....Jason and the Argonauts.

Seen tooo many, 1000s of them. Liked some Westerns, the War Movies, Elvis movies, on and on and on.
Lots of foreign movies too....then there is the Anime....

Children of Men, great flick.

Unfortunately I see this and 1984/Brave New World as the scripts TPTB are reading from and where we’re headed.

Soon.

Oh man, where do I even start? Here's a few just off the cuff.

Historical fiction:

Braveheart
Gladiator

Sci Fi:

The Empire Strikes Back
Terminator
Minority Report
Starman

Action/Adventure:

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Drama/Suspense/Thriller:

Silence of the Lambs
The Usual Suspects

Horror:

Dracula
The Sixth Sense (because it was filmed in Philly)
Fallen (not only filmed in Philly, but a block down the street from my house)

Fantasy:

Lord of the Rings (all three)
Avengers Infinity War

Comedy:

Animal House
Blues Brothers

I could go on but that's enough for now.

Damn I missed a bunch of those. Thanks for breaking it down by classifications.

Raiders of the Lost Ark is my fave of the Indy’s! And yeah Silence if the Lambs, and Usual Supects are great flicks.

I forgot to mention my favorite in that genre Seven.

Loosely classified, lol. I tried to think of a couple "off the beaten" path films.

Oh, I forgot...if you want something to break your brain check out Predestination.

Cheers.

Oh there are most certainly painfully bad movies. Attack of the Killer Tomatoes is one such movie.

This one, Shooter, is an odd one. The budget was clearly limited, the acting, even from Beatty and Glover, is painfully stiff, and well, Wahlberg does what he does somewhat convincingly but if you can get passed all that, the story and script are so good - and real explosions. Had to have my arm twisted to watch it in the first place but now a favourite.

Totally different, but a previous favourite,

Watching a horny, Chicken Tikka Tim Curry stomping around and bellowing satanically on mushrooms 🤣

Yep, that's gotta stay with you

Great movie, btw

Hubby and I watched Wake of the Red Witch because who doesn't like John Wayne? We laughed alll the way through it-hands down the worst movie we've ever seen! It even surpasses The Queen of Africa and Reefer Madness for movies so horrible you can't help but laugh through the entire show.

But what do I know? I couldn't stop laughing during The Exorcist when the poor child started spinning her head around and commenced vomiting green stuff. I'm still amazed I didn't get 86'd.

Oh I love movies that are so bad they're funny! There is a movie called "troll 2" it is not the sequel to troll. It is not even about Trolls, its about goblins. The acting is so cheesy the script is so over the top it is super funny just because it's so terrible. Im gonna try and find Wake of the Red Witch looks like they have it according to my library website they have it so hopefully its in when I go this weekend.

I don't know man, Killer Tomatoes is so bad it is hard to even laugh at it sometimes. You heard from the producers and director themselves! They set out to make the most egregious piece of trash they could.

My favorite movie of all time is Casablanca.. With The Third Man a close second. The Kid ranks right up there too.

No list is complete without a Sci-Fi Christmas movie, so Santa Claus Conquers the Martians must be added. It is so bad it is entertaining, in the same way as people slow down to look at a gory crash on the highway or go to worst dive bar for a drink.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers was another good one. I took my 10 year old son to the theater for that one, and he got the giggles so bad I ended up moving a few rows away from him.

Bogart, Greenstreet and Lorre in one film what's not to love? And not for the first time, that kind of movie magic just repeats.

The Third Man is as close to perfect as you can get.

I am not sure I could pick one favourite - in a desert island situation, it'd probably be a toss up between Dirty Harry and Some Like it Hot.
