Someone wants to suppress what is being posted here. If they shut it down after buying it, we would all go somewhere else.
So they let us stay busy while shedding casual members with the site crash and preventing new signups.
If anyone on here knows anything as opposed to being a conspiracy hobbyist, they've probably been being watched for a long time. Perhaps they even started the site in order to help suppress the person's truth?
Perhaps some of us are even mafiosos/mafiosas?

Let me ask - If ATS was to go subscription only would you pay $9.99 a month - At this point I would not,
For the life of me I still can't figure out why no advertising sales like a real advertising sales department no merch nothing to bring in income .
Hell, if I was an owner i would have bought my own T-shirt printers etc. long ago .
I would have bought an ATS shirt or a cool Alien shirt so many topics - And a bunch of members would have bought political yard signs flags hats etc. ...
I could do it but would need $100,000 up front and a budget, IT team and a monthly salary

Just a question to toss out there, with the new site up (Deny Ignorance) and Discord running, and the fact that no new members can join ATS, instead of slowly dying a long and lingering death, why haven't the mods just banned everyone?
No one could post anymore.
Topics would fade away into irrelevance.
Is it time to pull the plug?
Just asking. . . . .

Here's the thing............ none of us have the ability to 'pull the plug'. Even if we wanted to, it isn't within our power. Still, why would we want to? I can only speak for myself, but I will ride this thing until it is dead. I enjoy other sites as you have mentioned. I think this site was sold to an entity that didn't give a # about it, and he transferred the responsibility of it to two lesser entities that were unwilling to truly step up to the plate and make this whole thing work. Thus, ATS is now adrift. So it goes.

Exactly. We can't unplug it and have no desire to "ban everybody." All we want is a place for a civil discourse for topics topics members choose to discuss. And like any respectable establishment, people who get their jollies via disruption are shown the exit. Only now, there's no way back in. Which isn't optimal, but we're playing the hand we've been dealt.
