I was a fan of macrobiotic diets in my Zen days. Today blessed to live within 30min. of being able to harvest Deer, Elk and world class trout. The protein hasn't affected my spiritual path at all now that I'm a devout heathen.

I can't imagine Mrs F being too impressed in the morning.

Mrs F wasn't too impressed this morning; chilli and garlic sauce all over the place....up the walls, on the carpet, all over the shirt I was wearing and the house stunk.

Mission accomplished.

P.S. She did still make me two bacon butties for breakfast though.
Traditional Sunday Dinner about 3ish and that will be me for the day.

Don't know mate, things start getting a bit blurry nowadays after 12 pints, 3 double vodka's and various shots etc.

Mrs F thinks I'm de-evolving.

I like vindaloo's - I like all Indian food - recently had a Naga that was mad hot.

Hottest thing I've ever ate was a Nepalese dish when in Amsterdam one time. It is traditionally made with Yak meat but as there's a bit of a scarcity of Yak in The Netherlands it was beef. A mate who I was with ordered a traditional soup as a starter - he'd spent some time in Nepal a few years earlier - and I tasted it, it was the hottest thing I'd ever tasted in my life.....until my main course came out. The only time I can recall when I haven't eaten everything I've paid for.....unbelievably hot, never again.

Haha yeah you can't beat a decent Nepalese, used to be a good one in Gloucester.
My hottest curry was made with spice called satans ashes. absolutely the best tasting curry I have ever had, though it felt like it was burning a hole through my stomach
a proper 6 pinter that one!
Can't seem to buy the spices anymore though which is a pity. closest I can find are some of those reaper ones but I hate the bitter taste of Carolina Reapers, they aren't nagas for sure.

This "vegan" movement has gotten completely out of hand. Either we nip it in the bud asap, or suffer their continued atrocities against humans and vegetables.

Real patriots need to stand up and be counted and not be shouted down by these monsters.

Maybe we need to tell them vegans cause people like Jeffrey Damer to go nuts and eat people. It may be true, but it sure should shake them up to think about pushing people to go cannibal when they get "hangry for real protein"!

As you probably know, we raise cattle (yes, grass fed and antibiotic free), but I could tell you a thing or two about antibiotics and why they're used which would probably surprise you. We don't use them because we don't need to, but if I told you the proverbial 'rest of the story', it might mess up some of your cop-outs. Oh, and don't even get me started on Angus vs. other types of beef (that one would blow the socks clean off your feets!)

Our chickens are all free range too (like run around in the pasture, kind of free range). But here again, I could tell you some stories about "free range" which might mess with some of your chicken dinners. (We don't sell chickens though...and candidly rarely get to eat them before the coyotes, hawks, eagles, foxes, bobcats and owls do, but the eggs are good). But I digress.

I applaud your honesty though, something I really do appreciate about you.

edit - Oh, and then there's the whole "Organic" thing. You'd need suspenders for your socks if I told you that one! LOL!

You made us read between the lines, but I am with you I think 100% on this concept. My free range were facing Bald Eagles too. We moved away a year ago from a nesting pair of Bald Eagles that had just settled in. They were buzzing my chickens and since I was moving, I gave them to my son who had to build a coop to keep them before we could save them. But Coyotes never got one of mine. It was raccoons, possums, Hawks, a Perrigan Falcon, and Owls taking mine out. We had a fox den close and managed to never lose one at night at least to a fox.

There's a good Bangladeshi curry place in Bath that do some dishes with a 12 Chilli rating! Not for me, a Phall is about my limit.

Love Naga curries. I grow my own but not had any chillis this year.

Iceland occasionally have their Gold Label extra hot curries. The Carolina Reaper and Scorpion and Atomic Vindaloo ones were ....memorable.

But their Phall was 🥵🥵🔥🔥🔥🔥.

Loo paper in fridge hot, if you know what I mean.

Lost (3) to coyotes, during broad daylight (not at night...our coop was bulletproof at night). One time right in front of my wife; one of the dogs damn near hamstrung him, but we called him off (worried about him running into a den of them). The owls are murder on 'em around here though. Even lost a couple geese to owls (the giant great horned kind). Never lost anything at night, always during the day or right at sunset / sunrise. Owls and coyotes were probably our worst predators. Skunks are a big one for most people, but they mainly operate at night so we were okay there. Skunks are just a PITA though...especially with dogs.

We only kept a few chickens and geese at a time, usually less than a dozen. Gave up most of it after a while. Too many predators, but that wasn't the main reason. Chickens, geese and ducks are messy as sh!t, and after a while that attracts all sorts of undesirables (packrats, mice, etc.). The packrats are enough to drive anyone insane. Those alone are enough to make anyone question their sanity. Once they show up it's like "scorched earth campaigns" to get rid of them. And they are the single most destructive creature God ever put on Earth, hand's down! The amount of damage a single packrat can do will just blow your mind!

Just to give you an example, we had a packrat get inside a barn wall; that little F'er stashed sh!t in the wall cavity from floor to ceiling, solid, along a 30 foot long section of wall. It was over a half a TON of everything imaginable (i.e. dog food, chicken feed, hats, gloves, lumber, keys, tools, shiny stuff, traps, sticks, thorn bushes...just unbelievable). Had another one get in a old truck once; filled the engine bay from firewall to radiator, and from fender well to fender well, completely solid, with stuff it collected. They are a menace of unimaginable proportions!!

Loo paper in the freezer hot it sounds like!!

I love hot peppers but after so hot it ruins my taste buds. I like habanero's in moderation in my food. I absolutely love Thai food and told a server one time "native hot" for a dish of Pad Thai.. Big mistake it ruined the rest of my meal to have it so hot "that you have to poop in the creek to keep from setting the woods on fire" as the hill people jokingly say about those peppers.

you made me chuckle with that one.

Hello my old friend...I hope all is well.

I've been busy hiding my avatar from the people that hijacked yours.

What's up with that? Were you hacked?

This place is going to hell in a handbasket...

I just built a shrine out of slimjims, teriyaki jerky, pickled eggs, and a half dozen of the dried out hotdogs from the roller down at the 7/11.

The invocation starts at 4:20 pm. If the faithful could submit a small love offering it would be much appreciated and the used tires liquidation sale will begin shortly after the service.
