No need for the time machine. Just feed AI with given facts and data...see what it says. Of course, let AI mature a little bit more.

As a follow up with your boat usage article, I started to read about Egyptians 2d drawings. What can I say...the premise was Egyptians used technique allowing them to depict humans as precise as possible in line with their spiritual believes. I think it is a bs explanation. After all, it is a dream of any artist to express as close as possible the vision of life around him/her. But those 2d drawings (none of which depict pyramid building) look childish...and I understand that, although, but bulding a pyramid would require a precise blueprint in 3d.

Another recent article suggested a Hydraulic lift to build pyramids. I wonder how far assigning advanced tech to pyramid builders would work?

If ancient aliens built the great pyramid they were very crappy builders. Have any of you actually been to the pyramid? Precisely aligned blocks? Naah. I think a 5 year old could build a tighter construction, it has blocks in filled with rubble and their form of mortar. Oh yes, the outside casing was supposed to be better built.
All thing about the Giza pyramid are Guesses/supposition/ or "we think" by Egyptologists and even they can't agree. Well the new light, hieroglyphics supposed to "say" Khufus pyramid Akhet Khufu? That is what they translate it as, but it really means Akhet= horizon. ie. Khufus horizon. And this could allude to the horizon before the great pyramid was built with the other pyramids on the horizon. Khufu is irrelevant to the post, it's about the pyramid.
Now a question that I've never heard answered is Why do people keep quoting about the pyramids alignment to North? The Egyptians were concerned about the rising and setting of the sun and certain celestial alignments but nowhere in their "writings" are they concerned about North/South alignments.

The problem is that we do not have all the facts, so AI can't do a thing about it except speculate.

That depends, some artists like to depict things as they "feel" them, not as they "see" them. Also, some art forms have specific rules, so it's possible Egyptian artists also had some specific rules, like not representing things too close to reality so they would not appear to be recreating the gods' works, for example. One thing we can see on the paintings is that the size of the objects was usually related to their importance, that's why we see very small people near larger people, with the priests and pharaohs being depicted with a bigger size than the rest.
And although it's fact that their drawings look (apparently) childish, their statues were very good.

Not really in 3D, you can have a precise drawing of what you need to build from several points of view, that's how descriptive geometry works, with projections.

If one side of a square is facing North then the other sides will point East, South and West, so their intention could have been having one side pointing to the East, for example.

Phil Lesh founding member of the Grateful dead died today so in tribute I would say the answer is that for most people its a "Box of Rain" and as you well know "the rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain". The "what" Inspiration for the pyramids probably came from something seen in the "distant skies" though.

Even now with all the research and findings arranged in dataset fed into AI would probably give us an 'impossible feat' answer. I wish some group of enthusiasts conducted a test build...not a full blown copy of the pyramid but much smaller...using same size stone blocks though.

Ok, I give up the topic. I hit the wall of consensus of 'nothing to see here...move along' .

cheers)

It's more a "nothing new to see here", but the end result is the same.
