CPU and Memory Overload -- last 48 hours

Bloated websites are killing mem usage. I adjusted Chrome to put dormant windows to sleep asap. It helps a little while I get ready to add some more RAM. Going from 16GB to 32GB will help out, we need it these days, $50. With only two memory slots, etc my motherboard only handles 32GB anyway. Last PC I swapped only one module to go up to 24GB, and it worked great. 16GB just isn't enough for lazy people who don't bother to close windows.

I discovered The Google Chrome Browser was causing & affecting my discovered problem!

Chrome downloading ad crap and tracking seems to affect other browsers also, and apparently cache and cookie cleaning etc does NOT get it all !!

ATS made the problem worse (horribly worse!) on 4 browsers - Chrome, MS Edge, Opera, Avast.

Tech guy friend of mine isn't sure why ATS is a problem! Possibly some old ad sense rouge trackers are still active in ATS background. 😬[ long loud whistle and deep inhale, fast loud exhale aka-wtf ]

A new installation of The Brave Browser was not affected, ATS ran fine. 😄

One other bad site example is dailymail uk - real heavy cpu/ram overloads with their ad Bullsh!t.


::Solution::

Uninstalled Chrome and some folders (installation folder in programs, and appdata local) associated. Ran registry cleaner to get Chrome references out.

Other 3 browsers ran perfect with ATS with no adjustments !! 😎


Installed clean Chrome (as a test), and ATS works fine !! However Chrome will run CPU to 100% for a second or 2 on startup, but no real problem. Chrome is a hog browser and will eventually affect other browsers on the same system. 😬 Friend of mine is a tech guy and tells me Chrome is a problem, he recommends not using it !! 🕺
