CPU and Memory Overload -- last 48 hours

Odd.

Downloaded The Brave browser and the problem is gone!

Brave is showing blocking some ads and trackers and fingerprinting on ATS.

The Lou Troglodyte ad shows with no problem. But other ads and trackers blocked by Brave.

Hmmm maybe ATS has one rouge tracker since 2 days ago???

Yeah, the no shutdowns part is concerning.

It means your CPU is being pushed to the limit, but not past it.

What processes running and what hogging the percentages?

What CPU do you have 8/16/32/64Gb of RAM?

Just trying to get a picture of what going on.

Hogging is from the browser (any) -- as much as 80% cpu

CPU = Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7300U CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.70 GHz
16gb ram
Windows 10 64-bit o.s.
system all up to date

Notes:

Ad blockers with other browsers don't stop the problem. Just stops on Brave browser.

I'm apt to think you have malware somewhere.

Just do the appropriate scans and see if anything untoward shows up(nasty trackers)

Glad the other browser seems to have resolved the issue all the same.

Im pondering if clearing your cookie cache might help with the other browser 100% CPU utilization issue if no malware shows up.

brave for me won't load with shields up.

should have said let you log in with shields up

Nothing to see here, I'm just running my bitcoin operation on every computer logged into ATS.

It will load with shields up, but only if Impulse Engines are disabled ..

Brave loads and logs in ATS fine with shields up.

I run ATS on an Android using Firefox browser, put it in desktop mode. Never had the issues mention here.

Maybe it is a PC issue vs mobile?

This is what Brave Browser settings looks like, with shields selected.
I have it installed, but don't use it much. CPU and memory usage is quite comparable to Edge.

That is how my settings is set up. As a settings term, the term "shields" threw me.

ETA I use Brave as my default browser.
I do find that a few websites don't display properly on Brave, so I also use Firefox, occasionally Edge [although I have been told it is not the most secure browser]. And when all else fails, Opera is used.

I think all the same settings can be made in Edge and Chrome, but they're easier to find in one place in Brave.

It was never in doubt Biden-Harris would go ballistic with influencing social media website administrators, once the Supreme Court gave them the OK to do it legally, instead of covertly, as court testimonies had confirmed.
