Noticed mass overload CPU and Memory started 48 hours ago.

CPU goes high to 100 and memory gets gobbled up fast.

On desktop, only happening with ATS.

Is there a script running since 48 hours ago?

Anybody else noticing this problem.

It's like the old ad-sense ads from years ago on ATS.

No ad blockers on my end, no odd settings.

Maybe an "attack"?

Try running it on a different browser to see if the problem is identical.

If it is, it is likely the site. If not, could be a feedback loop in the script of the other browser.

Chrome has had a history of gobbling ram and cpu.

Run SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes just in case.

Another bit of advice would be set your CPU to 99% power instead of 100% and see if the problem persists.

Do you have any thermal issues down too the 100% load and memory usage?

With my browser already opened, I started Task Manager: 4% CPU, 47% memory.

Then I opened ATS: 7% CPU, 49% memory.

So not much increase on my end.
I'm using slimjet browser.

The same thing happens to me randomly when on FOX.

Doesn't happen every time...but it is noticeable when it does.

Just went to Fox........memory usage goes up to 44%

It "sounds" like something at AboveTopSecret.com is monitoring you. Maybe an infiltrator. Have you made any posts that reveal aspects of, or are against, the deep state?

open task manager and select the process tab. Look to see what is hogging the resources.

know you probably already tried this clear all cookies and cache clear permissions keep passwords and any autofills you want then restart the whole system not just the browser.

another thing sometimes after a windows update which i just had firefox will act up. then i reset firefox.

The browser that's open is the hog every time. 4 different browsers same problem. Unique to ATS.

The CPU hogging is variable.

Strange.

Reminds me of the Ad-Sense hogging when ATS had adds running. Seen same thing with some other sites that use Ad-Sense.

Yup, clearing cache and cookies after each browser to see. Rebooting. No new updates right before this started either.

i know your a upstanding member and follow all T&C, but have you looked at task manger and see how many processes each browser has open running in the back ground.

if you have lots of extensions running try disabling your ad blockers and anti trackers. i've had some cause problem especially ghostery

Two months ago, the US Supreme Court told the Biden-Harris Administration they could legally tell Social Media platforms what to do to, and with, accounts/subscribers who were, in the Biden-Harris Admin's view....troublemakers.

The U.S. Supreme Court handed a major victory for the Biden administration Wednesday, throwing out a lower court ruling that had placed major restrictions on the ability of government officials to communicate with social media companies about their content moderation policies.

And that's the only tab open...ATS?

The reason i suggested running SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes was in case you had some kind of crypto mining malware that can run stealthily in the background.

Is your system drive losing any space?

Windirstat can help there.

I had similar issues a couple of years back with CPU 100% usage and high memory usage and that is what it turned out to be, and the reason i raised the point.

It might just be the browser all the same Chrome for instance is rather notorious for opening unneeded tabs and uses quite a bit of memory.
