Yeah dal, I understand just how crazy that sounds to the majority of the population here, yet, I post it anyway, as I have now for a while. What you read in those few sentences could just be plain crazy but by looking at it in another light, very very sound. I'ts an old old ploy. Sacrifice something or some one and blame the enemy, surely you know this. The bigger the sacrifice the bigger the backlash. Certainly I don't need to make a list for you or anyone else here on when and by whom this has been utilized. It's power, not leftist or rightist but plain old power that we are dealing with.

I don’t watch the news for specifically that reason. Honestly, I don’t know anyone who turns on the TV to get the news unless it’s local.

Yes, there are bias news agencies out there. It’s not a new concept. I believe it was Chomsky that really started up that debate in modern culture, albeit a different angle. Still, he framed the idea as they were the fourth branch of the government.

But we have the internet now and access to a much wider variety, and without having to catch them on their schedule.

But I never see the right complain of bias when it works in their favor. Twitter used to be enemy number one, now musk is in their good graces with his endorsement and support.

I don’t imply the government should interject, people should just pick what they consume. Personally I consume both from the left and right leaning news, just not the hyperbolic ones who get engagement with blatant punditry.

Yea okay. It's not like democrats are pleased that first Trump went to the "otherside" second that their paid for dossier didn't prevent his first election win. Third all of their little plans, yes plans, didn't work while he was in office. Remember the "insurance" from the lovebirds about Trump? The two idiots who somehow where awarded money for invasion of privacy for having an affair and using their government OWNED PHONES to do it? Not like there have not been patterns that keep emerging from the left over Trump. That ABC production of J6 footage for the hearing? Yea its more believable the right is sacrificing Trump.

Before we entered clown world, the sitting president would be addressing the nation about these attempts at least a couple times by now.

I laugh whenever I see The Atlantic write articles with headlines “Why does the media continue to give Trump a pass”, or “How to Write about the Trump years.”.

I stop watching news on TV a long time ago but is hard no to read stuff in the net on current events.

For sure.

I try to stay away from the opinion pieces as they’re just always charged and not going off of facts.

The rest I can read in between the lines on. But generally I’ve found Podcasts to be my favorite source. I can pepper those into driving and chores for two birds with one stone. A lot of the journalists who made those podcasts were the ones disgruntled with the media landscape.

Glenn Greenwald has a good show and is in my lineup.

Lately I’ve been doing Breaking Points (2 sets of hosts, both have right and left), Glenn Greenwald, and BBC to get more international news. BBC seems to lean left, but it’s not overbearing and they typically just stick to reportable facts.

I completely agree; the release of this document in its entirety is unconscionable and premeditated.

Just the other day there was a sworn statement issued from a whistleblower at ABC concerning the debate. That document was redacted all over the place. Wouldn't it have been appropriate to at least redact the "reward offer" section of this manifesto document from Routh?????

Look. If in 2011 someone had tried to shoot Obama and then released a statement saying that someone else could collect 150k the media would be on fire. FBI would be knocking down the door of any white group it deemed a threat.

Again, the media and our own government treated the George Floyd case with more respect and attention than not 1 but 2 attempted presidential assassination attempts.

It has been 40 years since an actual assassination attempt. Now, suddenly there are 2 against one candidate?

The sitting POTUS should have had a news conference the night of Butler calling for calm. Instead, 2 days later at a NAACP rally he demonized him again.

I see a lot of fake hero types. It's like a fake tough guy, applied in a general way. Trash talking, being judgemental, lacking self-awareness, wishing harm all done in a theoretical way.

Not actually doing much good, like helping some kids, old people, needy, gifting....nope, all you need to be a fake hero is a big mouth and a keyboard to hide behind.

I practice balanced right and wrong daily even when it does not directly benefit me. These guys do not.

It's most likely a note planted by the FBI to distract from the likelyhood that Routh was hired by Biden's FBI.
