This lady has not paid council tax to the Portsmouth city council since 2020, she has not refused to pay, but has just demanded that if she is engaging with a corporation which is a business, then any demand must be accompanied by an invoice which is subject to the businesses act which precedes any subsequent act. She was threatened with court action ....but since when a council issues a court document they only rent the courtroom for the day and any legal looking letter they might send out is just a facsimile devoid of all regulatory power. When confronted in a final correspondence, they stopped demanding as it was shown that to do so, could open a can of worms which the Portsmouth city council was not prepared to do.

This is very interesting as even the Police are registered as corporations and even Governments which would require them to comply with preceding acts, which is another can of worms which has yet to be tested. Since how can a Government be a registered business and act as a democracy when registered in a foreign country? anyway well worth a read as presented by Richard as he shows and summarizes the relevant details of the correspondence.

Man, England sounds like such a garbage dump of insane scammers to me. I mean the USA is getting there and trying hard at it, but England seems to take the cake when it comes to "modern government scamming". And on top of that it seems that the elites that run you hate your guts for not being as "enlightened" as they view themselves. I would move, or at least make that my main goal in life.

This is just SovCit/Freeman of the land nonsense.

Much like the 'I don't need a driving liscence as I am traveling not driving.

It's not nonsense, but that doesn't matter because they have plugged most of the recourse and remedies. I studied the topic for years and actually had some successes. There was a time that you could actually look up your bond on Fidelity dot com.

The red numbers on the back of your SS# card could be inputted through a number of steps and you could actually see it trading. That was 2004-ish and my bond was valued at ~$34 million .

I checked it again off and on for a couple of years and then I couldn't do it anymore. The options weren't available to complete the steps. That's when I kinda shelved it all and lost interest.

Anyone pushing this stuff now, is shilling pretty bad because the Sovereign thing sputtered out years ago.

Of course you did.

Many people lose interest in 34 million.

I'm apt to go with bullcrap.

I dont know anyone that avoids paying council tax that resides in or owns a home.

This is along the lines of maritime/admiralty law stuff and it is nonsense.

They will simply arrest it from her benefits or wage.

And why should she not pay council tax like everyone else?

You got it summed it pretty well and we are living in a hell hole of unimaginable scammers everywhere one turns. We even have to have an expensive license to have the right to watch TV! Total nonsense. Taxes are rising, infrastructure collapsing, roads literally falling apart with pot holes and uninsured yob drivers, far right and left battling things out on the streets, mass immigration that is turning our cities into mini Pakistans, rioting everywhere, jobs that last a year or two before the CEO's ship those jobs abroad initially in manufacturing now in services, druggie smacked zombies on heroin and something called monkey dust everywhere begging or trying to mug you on the street corners for their latest fix, a criminal justice system that now imprisons you for 'thought' while at the same time lets thousands of sex offenders wander our streets for fear of causing offence to the muslims, a tax system that takes from you if you're on basic wages yet provides tax exile status to those earning good money. Yes council tax is just another way of thieving from the people and a good proportion of councils see it as a right to inflate this tax and steal more from us in the private sector. Absolute crazy state of affairs over here and things will only get worse now the lefty socialists have taken control.

Here's a link to the PDF/correspondence letters.

I not sure about this to be honest as the dates jump from 2020 to 2022? So did she actually pay it and thats been left out of this? We see a lot of theses but people tend not to post when they're fined and have property seized.

But good luck to her.

I did work at the local council and even in the early 2000s there was people who would try everything but at best they got attachment orders to their dole .

The problem is that after a while all the good excuses have been worn out and the high court has issued plenty of judgements on such a matter and no one really fancies taking it to the supreme court as that would really kill their argument dead.

Exactly, they will simply deduct the amount due from her benefits.

It's worse if she is employed and refuses to pay her council tax.

Or chooses to ignore the letters and come to an arrangement over unpaid dues.

As they have been known to arrest up to 70% of a person's wage or thereabouts to begin to clear the debt.

I agree, they can deduct it from her benefits/wage if need be throught the courts. The guy who's posted about this and is doing it with his bills seems to have only appeared in the last month or so. We'll see if he's still posting in a few months or maybe had his home repossessed.

I am saying I wanted off the merry go round of hellish rules here in America. You guys are in need of prayers. I am going to a prayer group today. I will lift up the UK in my prayers.

Bless you all and may the God of Abraham and Isaac rule in your hearts as the days of extreme trouble must be draying near. May love of Christ sustain you.

There is also the possibility that the council may use bailiffs to collect the debt.

And her being down south they dont feck around.

As far as i understand they can indeed force the sale of the property or enter her house and secure certain items to sell and recover debt.

Im 49 and managed to avoid having to purchase a TV license my entire adult life.

You can simply tell the "Capita" crew who attempt to extort monies for the BBC.

That you have removed the implied right of access to the property via writing/correspondence, and if they do not leave the premises immediately, you will have police remove them for trespass.

With the TV licence mob, you are also under no legal obligation to provide them with any sort of information including your name.

So they don't really have any teeth unless you give them such.

Taxes are a different matter though entirely.

This is just SovCit/Freeman of the land nonsense.

I looked into the Sovereign Citizen/Freeman Of The Land movement(s) a few years ago.
I sympathised with many of their beliefs and tactics but became unsure of the validity of their argument.

Many believe its a modern phenomenon but similar thoughts can be traced back to the original Levellers and Diggers etc.

I still to this day have many Levellers/Diggers tendencies which are unfortunately somewhat diminished by real life experiences and the resultant cynicism.

I'm absolutely certain any long term refusal to pay one's Council Tax would see an Attachment to Earnings and/or reduction in Benefits etc.

As for the morality of such a tax; local services have to be paid for somehow. I'm not sure The Council Tax is the best or fairest way....but it's certainly better than what was proposed before that - The Poll Tax.

For those that don't know The Poll Tax and subsequent protests and riots against it is an example how direct action can sometimes force policy change on repressive governments.

I wasn't sure myself after reading her letters that any of it was legit, thanks for clarifying some of it.
