The Fed just met yesterday and there was unanimous agreement that interest rates should be lowered next month.

Rigth before general elections, very convenient political plot.

Does this will fix the mess that democrats have created in the last 4 years of high interest?

No, it will not.

But it will make a nice rally speech for kamala in her campaigning.

Once again, it's been known for months that interest rates were probably getting dropped in September. That's why Trump was actively hoping the market was crashing a few weeks ago.

They are going to sabotage the economy because they know Kamala can’t win and because orange man bad.
Worst part of it is the stuff that nobody knows about until later next year well into trumps first year back.

didn't say when, and it depends on the new data, from the chairman yesterday.

Powell did not say when rate cuts would begin or how large they might be, but the Fed is widely expected to announce a modest quarter-point cut in its benchmark rate when it meets in mid-September.

“The time has come for policy to adjust,” Powell said in his keynote speech at the Fed’s annual economic conference in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. “The direction of travel is clear, and the timing and pace of rate cuts will depend on incoming data, the evolving outlook, and the balance of risks.”
Powell at Jackson Hole: ‘The time has come’ for the Fed to soon begin reducing interest rates

Then it must not really be intentional price gouging!! As suspected (and known), it's the Democrat Biden/Harris Admin that's controlling the selective means of production and the selective means of distribution to control planned price increases!!

Soo obvious. But they are getting exposed. 😀

But it'll be sooo small of a cut, it won't make any difference except for what Democrats claim it will (which will of course be a lie). The Public is already chopped and hammered 🤣🤣🤣

Barack Obama’s Warning to Democrats

“All of us,” he told his party’s convention, “across the political spectrum, seem quick to assume the worst in others unless they agree with us on every single issue.”

the atlantic

The interesting thing is that Democrat leaders like Obama are willing to point out that Tribalisum is harming their party both in terms of support and in terms of pursuing their stated goals; but none of them seem willing to do anything about the problem except for giving speechs..

The Dems had multiple Republicans featured at their convention. Meanwhile, those people will now be persona non grata in the GOP even if their positions match up on everything simply because they believe that Trump is not qualified to be President.

As I could gleam form the speeches those Republicans made at the DNC; they were only asked to be there because they agree with the Democrat leaders doom porn about Donald Trump... otherwise they would not have been invited.

Hardly a good example of what Obama was speachafying about.

ETA;

In contrast too when once Democrat VP nominee Joe Lieberman spoke at the RNC... not to provide doom porn about his fellow party members but to support his republican freind John McCain.

You always seem to go back to excusing the ills of your own because you perceive something worse in the "others".

Why is that?

It was great acceptance speech....

It was feel good platitudes without any substance and no explanation on how to make the feel good platitudes actually work.

If you are going for feelings and getting votes ... she did it right.

If you were going for grown up substance ... she failed.

It was an acceptance speech. She did it right. She said thank you, and accepted. Re introduced herself to all the newbies that have come on board/
Then an overall plan on how to win ( vote and talk to other voters) and some digs at why her opponent is unelectable. (That part took a while). A call to get involved, in promoting policies.
It not for standing up and turning into a policy wonk. That starts now. This is the time when you start going over policies, plans, etc
She did a great job.

Yes. It wasn't the disaster with rioting protestors that some were gleefully predicting.

She came across as full of energy, positive and (unlike DJT) a sense of humour.

Now, the hard yards begin.

Looking forward to the debate.

I doubt that it will be the disaster that some are predicting either.

We'll see.

I agree; with the ability to accuse her opponent with being misogynistic over his debate style, it doesn't matter how she performs at the debate; if she does poorly she can still claim the win.

I assume the race will be tight until election day... and for the few weeks it will take to count the ballots thereafter. It will come down to how well each gets out their base.

Guess so. I can't understand the level of personal attacks, on both sides.

It's all very childish and I feel sorry for the poor choices of candidates you lot have to choose between.
