How is this seasons Ideocracy all that much different from any of the past seasons?

Compare the debates of today to 1970s or 60s. Very different vibes.

Even Bush Sr, Clinton, and Perot.

Hell, I watched a clip of Reagan debating Mondale, Mondale was more impressive than Harris and Mondale won only one state in his home state Minnesota

shows exactly where the state of the country is ...

If you believe Trumps fearmongering the whole entire economy will collapse within a few years if you don’t elect him. His just a con man trying to sell snake oil

It isn't fearmongering at all. It's already been happening because of government overspending in the trillions, and Kamala wants to spend even more, 2 more trillion, and then who knows how much more after that?. Democrats don't care one iota, just print and spend, print and spend. And watch inflation reaching record levels. They're like carnies with the "ring the bell" thing. Spend and print enough money, and when the economy collapses, the bell rings. They want to make that bell ring.

Trump will SLASH the spending. Slash the waste. Slash the trough feeding swine.

Get a clue on reality for once in your life.

Bush jr + Trump is comparable to Obama + Biden. Each two terms with a one term kicker.

Damned if we do, damned if we don’t.

She talks. Trump delivered. Big difference especially when she can't explain how or why they haven't done this yet. 🤣🤣

True... those were fun!

My favorite one...

Well, everybody’s nibbling around the edges. Let’s go to the center of the bull’s-eye, the core problem. And believe me, everybody on the factory floor all over this country knows it. You implement that NAFTA, the Mexican trade agreement, where they pay people a dollar an hour, have no health care, no retirement, no pollution controls, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, and you’re going to hear a giant sucking sound of jobs being pulled out of this country right at a time when we need the tax base to pay the debt and pay down the interest on the debt and get our house back in order.”

He was a man that was needed at the time.

Perot was incredibly important for public discourse, I’m not sure how well he would have done as a president though.

I’ve often used him as an example of candidates using as an excuse for losing, and in time I don’t think it’s a fair example. He was the reason Bush Sr lost.

And there’s a trope that Clinton ran the only surplus in recent decades, but more or less, that was an accounting trick with how we do our loans.

Perots point on NAFTA was incredibly valid. It was the very thing that caused the slow death of wide scale American manufacturing. It lead to the auto company crisis, our inability to deal with COVID for simple goods, and one day the tech bubble we’ll deal with since our stock market and national market is too heavily weighted with companies who are dependent on overseas production.

I don't know if Trump can stop the crazy train from going off the rails but I believe 1,000% Harris is an extreem far right socialist with ZERO qualifications to run the country and will destroy any hope of freedom or democracy in America.

She's like Hillary without a brain to understand how government works and zero fiscal knoweldge.

It might cost a couple bucks (to the enemy, YouToob), but it's SO worth it). IDIOCRACY explains every-thing! It really does!!

Every single thing about this movie (and "Office Space"), explains exactly where we are today.

Idiocracy takes the cake!

Watch it tonight! Seriously!

This is Right Where WE ARE!!

"Brawndo...it's got Electrolytes!

You do know who wrote this and what president Camacho represent? Mike Judge is a Libertarian. If you listen to a Trump speech he has to tell people he is doing an "Intellectual" speech??? It is just sad how he has to talk at a 4th grade level are they really that simple?

I am not a Harris fan and the 2 party system needs to end but you seriously want to say we are in Idiocracy without acknowledging Trumps simplistic speeches?

Okay...

Harris fiscal policy could add 2 TRILLION to deficit

Trump: Harris plan is same as Venezuela

So...yeah...this'll work! (NOT!!)

It will work perfectly well for their actual agenda...

Collapsing the America we know as soon as possible.

Hell was I not paying attention? when did the 18-24 crowd become so pro-socialist? My daughters were as liberal as Jane Fonda once but not pro-socialist.

Now you can hear praise for the Idea of socialism on social media as if it's never been tried before. Some will talk socialism now about it being genius and Im like that we learned that it wasnt in the 5th grade.

But we need to let the participation generation try and implement it even though it's the same generation that can't balance a checkbook or drive a stick

An economic system that has never been successfully installed in the real world, especially not in a country as large and diverse as the US
but Kamala and Coach Tim are going to make it work

I agree with you 100% on this matter.

And I have nothing else to say about that particular subject, because you covered all of it very accurately.

You just shut me up on a thread topic... I don't think that's ever happened before.

Yeah I forgot how stupidly archaic ATS can be...

Smart people speak on a level that everyone can understand.

Stupid people attempt to use large words and phrases that makes them feel more intelligent.

Writers who use long words needlessly and choose complicated font styles are seen as less intelligent than those who stick with basic vocabulary and plain text, according to new research from the Princeton University in New Jersey, to be published in the next edition of Applied Cognitive Psychology.

Linky to Study

Einstein was aware of this.

But I guess you are way more intelligenter...

Granted it's Friday and the edibles are hitting but

We can discuss Trump's positions but in this race, with Vance on the ticket gives the intelligence edge to the GOP.
with the competition, it isn't exactly difficult to do.

The races very well might come down to the debates
