Vice President Kamala Harris lays out economic policy in North Carolina speech LIVE today

Still isn't taking questions from the press, but none the less...

Wasn't Trump just in NC 2 days ago in Asheville talking about the economy, and now Kamala is talking about the economy in North Carolina?

What's next Kamala will stay in a resort in West Palm Beach, will we see her bring out a table full of grocery items and discuss the price increases over the last 4 years?

This could be because even the left-leaning 538 polling has Trump up marginally in North Carolina

Yes, just like constantly raising the interest rates to 'combat' inflation.

You can bet the best speach writer on the planet wrote what harris will read from the teleprompter today....but don't ask her any questions!

Raising rates does work, but only if you stop spending trillions more than you make.

As in make as in collect taxes? Or as in make as in print trillions?

let the government control pricing. What a fantastic idea! What could possibly go wrong.

Now what I really want to see, is the idiot lefties here try to explain why this is a great and brilliant move.

With fractional reserve banking system, you are printing by loaning.

The lower the interest rates, the more money gets put into circulation. The caveat is it also stimulates the economy by giving more access to capital.

It’s a tight rope, and one of the problems with fiat.

If you keep rates too low for too long, people get riskier with the loaned money because of the belief real estate, assets, and the marketplace are booming and you can’t lose.

Keeping rates too high for too long constricts growth.

Nope! Never has.

Harris is just setting the stage to be able to blame everyone BUT her administration.

"The bastage retailers are the ones ripping you consumers off, NOT OUR broken and failed policies! Blame it on THEM!!"

Just wait for it.

You'll see the Leftists come along and praise the Marxist tactics.

One has to make the economic environment conducive to many competitors in each sector, allowing for competition and prices will reach a fair average.

If you hound or over-regulate a sector, and it affects its bottom line, sooner or later the companies organize and plan so their profits are high enough for thier businesses to remain viable. Once organized any political news is responded to like it's a natural disaster

It's why shutting down farmers in Europe is an extremely bad idea, it's no different than a natural disaster wiping them out, hell in some ways it's worse it moves in slow motion allowing the build-up of panic and fear.

That seems to be the MO of my career industry at least.

They haven’t been given their taking points yet otherwise they’d be here already.
It’s going to be comedy gold watching how they try and polish that massive “price controls” turd.

Anyone wonder why stores like 'Dollar Tree' and 'Family Dollar' no longer are able to sell everything for $1.00?
Average price for items is now $4.25...all the way up to $7.00 for what used to be sold for $1.00.

Price fixing doesn't work.

Up first on the price control list we have...

Night Train wine
Blunts
Red Lobster
Waffle House
Chicken
Waffle mix
Target
Walmart

edit - On a serious note if voters, in particular retailers, think about this for a moment, this policy will backfire bigly! Why? Because this means an instantaneous drop in profits (likely into loss territory) with no relief on the cost side of the fence.

This will wipe out small businesses, and big business will just ignore it and continue to gouge consumers.

empty shelves, like in communist countries. Why make a product and sell it for a loss. Nobody would do that. This is why they are keeping her hidden. She is a moron.

Same thing Kamala wants to do with US healthcare.

If Kamala plans on using EOs, she and we need to compare Biden's early EOs and the (on purpose) damage He did. 😊

I'll wait to hear what the experts say. It certainly can't be worse than their appraisal of Trump's proposed policy.

Sounds like retailers and business owners would not like Kamala's policy here. I'm sure they'll want to vote for Trump as a result.
