The highest that Trump's national popularity ever got was 49% for a few brief moments in 2020, when it looked like he was fighting the Covid Pandemic. Most of the time it has averaged around 42% or so. That's on a national basis. If you live in one of the Red states, it will be much higher locally and you will think it is phenomenal because you only talk to people who think the same way you do.

I'm going to disagree with you on this. I hope you respect my opinion and my personal take on it.

I travel for work, usually 3 weeks a month. I go to red states, blue states, purple states.. my company doesn't care about politics it's all business. I'm traveling by plane and car about even amounts of time. I can't remember a single time that I saw a Biden/Harris bumper sticker* or yard sign this year. I saw them in 2020 quite a few times but this year I haven't seen anything. I will add the fact I'm not driving through big cities like New York or LA, I usually get a car and get the heck outta there asap so maybe that's my disconnect.

Rather, what I'm seeing is Trump signs all over the place. As I referred to earlier, I spend most of my time in rural areas and I know those area's are rather red in general. So using the local community as a metric for who is voting red or blue doesn't check out for me.

*I'm a car guy, I look at cars when I'm driving. It's kinda my thing.
