I know Kamala got VP because of her identity, but I can also say it’s a horrible topic to lean into if you want to win over people.

Walz signed a bill that redefined "sexual orientation" to include pedophilia.

I don't disagree, but think of where we are today, when we have to tip-toe around the truth lest we hurt feelz when picking the leader of the free world. I don't think the experiment is going too far beyond 250.

Have we ever seen a person put through so much in modern politics and still be neck and neck , speaks to either how lousy the candidates are against him, or to his resilience if nothing else.
100%.
Enthusiasm is low for a lot of Americans in the choices we have, and had in recent times.
But ultimately this boils down to a popularity contest. On a good day, 50%~ of eligible voters turn out to a presidential election. We have to assume a good portion of that know current events at a headline level. I’d be scared to know how many read into stories from multiple sources, and keep up with global current events too.
It’s a shame, it makes the races more superficial, but it is what it is.
Republicans and Democrats also share about 30% of the electorate each, leaving 40% independent, third party, and apathetic. Those are typically who decide the election as you’re usually going to secure your base.
Right now he’s campaigning for the people he already won over. I know Kamala got VP because of her identity, but I can also say it’s a horrible topic to lean into if you want to win over people.
It depends on who gets the vote out, people are tired of the fearful save democracy stuff too. Even with 161 million voting in 2020, there are about 45-50 million eligible voters who did not vote.
And yes providing school lunches for children, strengthening protections for workers, ensuring paid family leave, ensuring women's rights. So radical.

If people are tired with that kind of messaging, where do they go?
I’ll admit the left is using that more at the top levels, but right now I see one side doing the vote for us to save democracy, and the other side leaning into they’re socialist and will destroy the country.
We could argue if one has more validity to their claim, but to an undecided I’d say they look about the same.
Ultimately I think it’s just accepted that political races are mostly hyperbole now.

Don’t forget voters vote on peoples looks, hence the orange man memes.
Brown woman with a old white haired man under her. Win.
And then we have orange man-bad, with a disproportionately chubby bearded face eye liner wearing weird dude. Lose.
don’t see them the same at all. One of those two options is much more accurate than the other.
