The Liberal news source The Atlantic thinks that Hassis chose her running mate precisely because he was an old white man, and that she needed him in order to reassure her bigoted voters.

No, she chose him because he's a freak'n socialist and so is she. And she picked him over Shapiro because Shapiro is Jewish and worked with the IDF, and she didn't want to piss off those 200,000 Muslims who are voting in Michigan and Wisconsin.

We've already been over this, there were a multitude of reasons that Walz was selected over Shapiro and none of them have to do with Shapiro being Jewish.

idk....but I would think that a cohesive party with coherent platform might have an advantage over a fractured opposition where a significant amount hate the candidate.
