He's also prevented the PRO Act from getting passed which puts him at odds with the unions that have been immensely supportive of Harris.

He says he's now in support of it, but that's clearly just to get the VP nomination.

He 's a gun grabber.

Why would Kamala pick someone who is tough on the border......

No, he is not a gun grabber. He is for gun regulation, because his wife, Gabby Giffords was shot in the head by a mass murderer who killed 6 other people when he shot her at a political rally. He was mentally unstable and should never have had the weapons to carry out that mass murder.

And Kelly is not alone in that, according to this Gallup poll from Oct 2023, 56% of Americans want stricter gun regulation. That constitutes a majority.

Now I see why I wasn't following what you were saying.

en.wikipedia.org...

Shapiro supported enforcing Pennsylvania's anti-boycott law against Ben & Jerry's after the ice cream maker announced that it would not renew its license in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. Shapiro called BDS a "stain" that Governor Wolf was right to prevent from taking hold in Pennsylvania and said it "is rooted in antisemitism."[58]
this could play out interesting in MI with how there is not exactly love for israel from there at the moment and seems to be the dems picking an anti Palestinian side albeit non directly

edit to add second quote

Palestinians will not coexist peacefully. They do not have the capabilities to establish their own homeland and make it successful even with the aid of Israel and the United States. They are too battle-minded to be able to establish a peaceful homeland of their own."
now this also may not play well with the dems but he is for raising min wage to 15 and dropping corporate taxes so in my admittly ignorant of most pa issues opinion hes getting picked for a very important swing state and to appear to try to attract independent undecided voters

Yep being she was running out of candidates, they didn't think Kelly could save Arizona, Cooper dropped out so it was Shapiro by default

IMHO

This is why the Constitution gave us fairly robust states' rights, 56% of a national majority doesn't mean squat, Senators and Congressperson's are elected by their home state. In a topic as contentious as this their votes will mirror their actual constituents

That's gun grabbing.

And you support it.

Kick rocks.

No quarter for those who would stomp on Americans rights.

About those protests?

What was being protested that Shapiro stopped?

This guy sounds right up Kamal's alley, and frankly all the top Democratic players.

Gov. Josh Shapiro’s office agrees to pay $295K to settle sexual harassment allegation against top aide.

HARRISBURG — Gov. Josh Shapiro’s office agreed to pay $295,000 to quietly settle a sexual harassment complaint against one of his most trusted advisors, according to records obtained by Spotlight PA through a public records request.

The settlement will be paid using public dollars. It was signed on Sept. 5, more than three weeks before the advisor, Mike Vereb, abruptly resigned from his job as Shapiro’s liaison to the state legislature, prompting Republicans to question the governor’s handling of the matter.

The agreement included a controversial confidentiality clause that bars both sides from discussing the allegations against Vereb. Spotlight PA is not naming the woman who brought the complaint, in which she alleges Vereb made inappropriate, crude, and sexually suggestive comments during her brief stint working for him earlier this year.

Shapiro supports too many right wing ideologies, like school vouchers for private schools, paid by us, the taxpayer.

As opposed to millions of dollars in student loan debt forgiveness? It's a drop in the bucket.

Sadly, Kamalla could have a used wad of Bidens toilet paper as VP candidate and it won't make a difference.

She might win this one just because the fix is already in.

Social media and search engines are already manipulating data. The media is frothing at their collective pie-holes.

Hold up.

As of July, 29 states have Constitutional Carry. That's a majority of states, so if a "majority" of people want tougher gun laws, how did that happen ?

I think you're seeing what you want to see.

You’re already paying school tax.
It’s giving parents options to choose where they send their kids to school.
The public school teachers already can’t do their job with the money they have now so no difference at the end of the day there.
If you don’t want to pay the school tax then don’t own a home. Easy fix.

No. It's about giving the wealthy subsidies to offset the cost of private school while stripping funding from the public schools that the lower classes rely on.

What's the lefts impression of Shapiro?

I know there's a contingent that will not like him.....

Harris's Islamic constituents won't approve of her picking a Jewish man, that's for sure.

I find it absolutely stunning that we can just hand wave the antisemitism that the left is proudly harboring.

Trump was nearly impeached over the "fine people" comment event though it was clearly a hoax.

I thought the left celebrated DEI hires, that's why they have DEI HR staff now
