Dozens served in Trump’s Cabinet. Four say he should be re-elected.

WASHINGTON — Donald Trump may have put them in the most powerful and prestigious jobs many will ever hold, but few who worked in his Cabinet are rushing to endorse him in his bid to return to the White House.

NBC News reached out to 44 of the dozens of people who served in Trump's Cabinet over his term in office. Most declined to comment or ignored the requests. A total of four have said publicly they support his run for re-election. Several have been coy about where they stand, stopping short of endorsing Trump with the GOP primary race underway. Then there are those who outright oppose his bid for the GOP nomination or are adamant that they don't want him back in power.

Mike Pence is just the most recent, high profile member of the Trump White House to come out and say Trump is not fit to serve as President again. However, it seems like he's hardly the only one.

In fact the media is struggling to find anyone from Trump's White House, at any level, that feel he's fit for another term as President.

This is hardly surprising considering the stories of Trump's erratic behavior that have come out. For example, Mark Esper in his memoir recalls how Trump called for any leakers to be executed. A similar story was told by Bill Barr in an interview who said there were a number of times that Trump had to be talked down after demanding someone be executed.

The running theme among most of those that have spoken out against Trump's time in the White House is that if Trump is given the Presidency again, it will be the death of America as we know it.

If this is the warning being given by those who worked closest with Trump, who are we to ignore it?

Lots of people who supported Trump the first time around got burned or used up.
Not many of them make comments against him. Some do.
It's clear he's a hard guy to work for/with.
They don't say that he goes off the rails and abusing people, cussing, etc.
(like with Harris)
But it's clear that his personality makes it difficult for those who work with him.

The person who gets me is Chris Christie. They guy was almost Trumps VP pick. And it was clear that Christie wanted to spring board off Trump for his own political ambitions. When that didn't happen, Christie went to the dark side ... canoodling with the left wing media.

Hun ... that's a left wing taking point. It's fearmongering. He was in office four years and 'the death of America' didn't happen. It didn't happen then, and it won't happen now.

Actually, the 'death of America as we know it' will come from the left. Obama himself said he wanted to transform America .. making it something that hadn't been seen before. And Harris is a socialist. All her policies are socialist and 'new world order'. THEY are the ones that would change America bringing 'the death of America as we know it'. Not Trump.

Seeing the slimy one's being slimy isn't a shocker. And most of the politicians are, some hide it better than others.

It's mind boggling how the left pretends there is nothing wrong with how things are going. Don't like Trump, super, I get that. But to pretend that because Trump is both mean and orange, everyone has to pretend things are great, and our current leadership is spot on, may forever be the greatest mystery of our time.

The US became effectively energy independent in the last year of Obama’s administration and has steadily become a larger net energy supplier to the world ever since. That means we produce more fossil fuels than we consume. Last year, the US set a record for petroleum production under Biden. The pipeline that Biden cancelled would have carried Canadian oil, not US oil. The US petroleum industry is drilling as fast as they need to. They aren’t going to drill any more than they have to because they need to make a profit on whatever they produce, and petroleum prices are set by the international market.

Do a little research. We are not being economically hampered by lack of fossil fuel production.

I worked with a company for 15 years, along with numerous associates domestic and international, and not one that has left by being fired or quitting would go back and work for this individual. We aren't talking a few it's like 2 dozen, and that's not counting the home office.

People don't mesh, hell he irritates me when he talks much of the time. But it has little bearing on his effectiveness as a leader
