But this is really meaningless ceremony. I get a feeling the assassination attempt and the fake FBI investigation is going to overshadow politics as usual going forward.

It isn't meaningless. In fact, right now, we NEED this. Many ceremonies throughout history provide pivoting points and unity for the people who celebrate them, they get energized. I see this as a starting point to new and better things. If anything, it may take away from the micro scrutiny by the public of the FBI investigation. Good or bad, going forward we need some positive energy and right now, a lot are feeling it. I've very excited and hopeful about this country and it's well being. This is a step in that direction until proven otherwise.

Trump gained so much momentum after he was nearly killed on Saturday. Personally, I feel he could have built even more momentum if he would have chosen Vivek.

But I think this is only the beginning of a series of dramatic events we're going to go through this year or 2025. In the bigger picture, VP pick isn't that important.

I definitely like Vivek more.

But VP is largely just a PR spot unless POTUS gets taken out.

I think Vivek will be much more useful and effective at State, DHS, DOJ, or OPM.

I'd put RFK on the CDC or FDA

Flynn as DNI or CIA

DeSantis would be great as AG

Prince or McGregor as SecDef

MAGA is rather small, unlike BLM, #metoo, project 1619, WOKEness, etc.

A MAGA is mainly a conservative family that works hard, takes care of their family and friends, and doesn't have time for all the BS that the left does since they have responsibilities and people depend on them. They are the last group to worry about. If Biden wins come Monday they are back to work doing what they do.

If he Plays his Cards Right , and Serves as VP with Distinction , I Think Vance could have a Good Chance of being Elected POTUS in 2028 with Trump's Help . Mr. Trump chose Wisely this Time IMO .......

His parents divorced when he was a toddler. Shortly afterward, he was adopted by his mother's third husband. Vance's childhood was marked by poverty and abuse, and his mother struggled with drug addiction. Vance and his sister Lindsey were raised primarily by his maternal grandparents.

After HS joined the Marines as enlisted. Took his GI bill after his commitment and ended up with a doctorate in law, Being successful in the private sector he ran for the Senate in 2022. It is 2024 today so that is one hell of a career in politics.

Now back to the 800 pound man called a 200 pound man fat.

Clinton, Obama, and Biden were all straight from college right into politics. Maybe you need to look again as to what you mean.
