The trend towards the Right is continuing.

This happened awhile back, but after Biden and Macron failing miserably, I thought it appropriate to add another failure to the list.

TORONTO (AP) — Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal party has suffered a major upset in a special election for a Toronto district it has held for three decades, raising doubts about Trudeau’s leadership ahead of next year’s general election.Trudeau Loses Toronto

A glorious day for Canada's freedom lovers!

It looks like the winds of sh#t are starting to dissipate...

annoyed by the media's constant reference to 'right wing' pols.

the word 'conservative' doesn't appear to be in their style book vocabulary.

here's hoping for a conservative tide across Western Civilization that will return a little common sense to our gooberments.

Do you find it disturbing that there isn't a pull to the center?

My biggest current fear is that the pendulum shift will be swift and brutal.

Unlike the lefties, I don't wish to see their lives and livelyhoods destroyed by political machines.

Looks Like a Global Red Tide, you know like the algal bloom, that produces toxins that can kill fish, birds, mammals, and people to.

That's a good point and yes.

I don't want to see anyone's lives destroyed or have their freedom taken away, bank account frozen, etc. Well, other than politicians of course.

It seems like moderate voices are being drowned out by both ends of the extreme..

I'm happy for the shift to Conservative here, but realistically, the overall trend will continue. It's part of the SOP with politicians now. I don't trust a f'n one of them at this point..

Yep.

I was very aware of it when I lived on Vancouver Island. Only eat the shell fish if the month you're in has an "R" in it..

I was using a bit of MSM pageantry, admittedly....

I don't think it is a far right thing. It is a common sense thing.

It is being painted as far right because you are supposed to hate it.

"Far Rigtht" was only a bug-a-boo label in the USA when criminals at the top of government saw that Donald Trump was coming for them as a Republican. Now they call it MAGA. Both terms are becoming synonymous with the word NORMAL and the state of NORMALITY.

There still exist former leftist, now centrists that will, when you find them, tell you loudly how the party left them or better yet it was wrestled from them.

I believe that same scenario can mete out on the right. Luckily there is already a vocal minority against the RINO/uniparty types but it isn't yet a firm enough buffer.

There are lunatics on both sides of the political spectrum. There are extreme leftist liberal lunatics and extreme right neocon lunatics and the extreme left has been in control this past presidential election cycle. Maybe the pendulum will swing to the center right for a while now.

While I applaud your optimism that's not how the pendulum works.

More than happy to be wrong.

Does anyone really think that TPTB will allow
this right wing power movement to come into effect ? July 4th is coming soon ....wouldn't the irony set in if there was an attack on our country this coming Thursday.....shutting down the power grid with an EMP....allowing martial law......putting a damper on any elections Nov.4th ??? If something like this were to happen the ripples of lawlessness and chaos would spread across the globe stopping any red tide.

But what about us in Canada Myke. Do we even have red options?

I am all for Justine losing his grip on power but it’s meaningless if he is just replaced with more of the same.
