What is the Contengency Plan for a Joe Biden / Democrat loss in November ?

First of all, I know it's easy to say there will be riots and worse, but exactly how does that go down?

There is no organization

I just don't see anything beyond general protests etc. and even those will depend on how well funded and sponsored they are. Not to say there won't be some BS protests and the like but generally people are finding the constant protest monotonous and want to take care of and live thier own lives.

Some shifts in populations but we have been having that since 2020.

That being said there is far Better Private security out there than the Secret Service , About the only thing the Secret Service has that other private contractors don't is an endless budget and resources .

I think it's different this time. The democrat party, at large, have made some serious fiscal and legal mistakes. I actually think they want Trump to win so they can blame the great depression 2.0 on a republican.

When future generations read about the great depression 2.0 it's going to have Trumps name all over it. To be clear, I, as well as most of the folks on here, knows fiscal policies from the previous administrations were the cause of financial stress for the masses. All of that doesn't matter when it comes to public opinion. The Biden team doesn't want this to happen on their watch but it's clearly obvious we cannot continue spending like we are right now. Something needs to break and the democratic party will take the loss in November to save face and have this as a talking point moving forward.

Pray that I'm wrong and everything is actually doing steller even though my lieing eyes are telling me different.

I wanna argue with you but from a numbers stand point you are not wrong .

That being said Trumps economic downfall can be blamed in it's entirety on the Pandemic and poor decision making there in.

Biden on the other Hand took a bad situation and made it exponentially worse.

I have read every post in this thread, and have wanted to reply to every single one. This is the kind of discussion that brought me back to ATS after such a long absence.

Rather than trying to reply to so many divergent and intriguing comments, I'll just look into my own 2024 crystal ball and give my (hopefully) reasoned opinion of what could happen in this crazy election cycle.

Biden Won't be the Dem' Candidate in November

I've seen enough. Joe Biden is not cognitively or physically capable of finishing the race, let alone leading this country for another 4 years.

I am convinced that the early debate was intentionally put in place by his handlers and other party fixers to confront him with the reality of his condition. Whether he will get the message or not, remains to be seen. Short of being removed via the 25th Amendment, if he wants to remain in the race, there's nothing anyone can do.

The Democrat "Bench" is Sparse

If Biden agrees to end his run -- and that's a big "If", there will be deals made big time! Kamala Harris isn't the answer on any level, but she's also in the way. They would have to give her a SCOTUS seat (Sotomayor has been open about wanting out), or the full support of the Party to run for Governor of California.

That way, Gavin Newsom could replace her as VP.

At that point, the only way to avoid an ugly and destructive floor fight at the Convention (19 August), would be for Newsom to roll up already in place as President of the United States.

Biden needs to pardon his son, and probably another family member or two, which he could do in his final days. He has a good excuse to resign obviously. No one would question it -- especially after the upcoming debate.

Honorable mention as replacements for Biden...

Michelle Obama doesn't want anything to do with politics. She has already emphatically said, she's not interested.

Hillary Clinton on the other hand, would jump at the chance. The problem is, she's not very popular within the Democrat Party (and, I'm being charitable), and has lost to Trump before.

There simply isn't another Dem' "replacement" out there with national name recognition.

The Democrat National Convention will be chaotic, tumultuous, fractured, and likely violent to one degree or another. There will be some level of civil unrest there in Chicago; the police in 2024 have a fraction of the policing authority they did in 1968, and look at what happened back then*!

Yes. How much? No way to know... I fear it will be worse, and more widespread, than any of us would hope. I'm not going to get into doom porn territory, but I have a feeling some really bad things will transpire, including large scale terrorist attacks!

Trump Will Win easily. The numbers are wildly in his favor now, and have only become more so in recent weeks. I do not look at the "horse race" polls. I study the electoral vote, which is based upon Congressional Districts. Unless things change dramatically, the result of the election will be so lopsided that accusations of "cheating" will be few and far between.

But...

BEWARE the TIME BETWEEN 05 Nov. and 20 January! If Trump wins (as I think he will), I strongly suspect there will be another wave of widespread chaos. I wouldn't rule out some form of Constitutional crisis that will embroil the White House, President-elect, Congress, the Supreme Court, and [GULP!] the military!

So, there it is, buckaroos! We are in for one hell of a wild ride! Proceed accordingly.

Well, we’ll likely see Trump with a second chance IMO.

Maybe he’ll do some more of those temporary relief packages that make things seem good short term at the cost of long term. And I bet people will still praise him as being the best economic president ever, again.

I have no faith that anyone will wake up on either side after him.

Donor class has continued to make money through both presidents even though it’s what’s left of the middle class that takes the hit.

So I've seen people on this thread floating the idea of a new virus, WW3, civil war, etc...

Ignoring the fact that the current administration has manufactured a way to complete the economic collapse of this country.

While at the same time allowing so many illegal aliens in with no ties TO this country that a civil war is inevitable.

With the loving Government stepping in to "fix" what they caused.
