www.cbsnews.com... that is footage from a video game....

Capt. Chris "Chowdah" Hill, the commanding officer of the Eisenhower, was posting photographs to social media showing him visiting the ship's bakery shop while the ship was supposedly critically damaged or sunk. On X, the former Top Gun instructor said jokingly: "I think we were sunk only twice this year."
and

A CBS News analysis found the gameplay recordings quickly spread across Chinese and Russian social media sites after it was published by Russian disinformation sites, including The Intel Drop and the Pravda network, and several influential Chinese bloggers on Weibo. When asked about this recent use of their game footage to portray the alleged Eisenhower attack, Bohemia Interactive PR Manager Pavel Křižka told CBS News, "We've been trying to fight against such content by flagging these videos to platform providers, but to be honest it's very ineffective. With every video flagged, debunked, or taken down, ten more can be uploaded each day."
but thats one of the joys of ai and in this case video game footage being used to spread disinfo on the modern battlefield

Well considering in real life hezbollah was able to strike and damage the USS Eisenhower without the assistance of hypersonics a few weeks ago I'd say yes.

Of course most here probably heard nothing about it.

Hypersonics technology has put every American ship and base abroad in danger. While the American military was fighting goat farmers in Afghanistan the rest of the world was arming themselves for this exact conflict.

Regardless of whatever the AI says the reality of the situation is American would lose any major conflict that isn't on our border. We don't have the ability to project the kind of power necessary to take on China on their doorstep. Much like China lacks the ability to do the same thing.

Weapon advancements, drone technology, and 5th generational warfare almost makes America's 40 year old aircraft carriers obsolete at this point. You throw enough trash in their skies there dome will fail just like Israel's did last month. Notice how Israel isn't attacking their neighbors anymore after hezbollah conducted precision strikes on one of the most heavily defended airbase on the planet?

It isn't working with Ukraine and it won't work anywhere ever again. Our "enemies" have found out how to defeat our defenses by watching us fumble around in Ukraine and it's got the MIC worried.

No they didn't surprise they lied. About once a month they make the claim they sunk an aircraft carrier. I believe this is claim number 5 and counting.

few times the US has sunk old carrier they were a pita for the military to sink without damage control teams.

The designs have gotten stronger, and the damage control teams are still top notch.

Are they sinkable sure, every design has a weakness. Do I think China can pull it off, no they havent designed anything really in my lifetime they have just stolen tech plans and modified slightly to claim they didnt steal the intellectual property of someone else.

Chinese banks were warned they can no longer do business with Russia and avoid sanctions

Therein lies part of the causes that will lead to our ultimate downfall. Every time another nation refuses to buckle under, the US uses financial threats and intimidation to achieve its goals. The world will sooner or later become tired of these constant financial threats and seek ways to divest themselves from the almighty dollar and when that happens, we are going to reap the financial whirlwind.

China, Russia and other countries are already divesting themselves of US bonds and these divestitures are not going to stop. Nations are getting increasingly good and tired of the US financial threats, intimidation and war against them and sooner or later divest themselves of it.

You did hear that Saudi Arabia refused to renew the US dollar trade agreement, the petrodollar, for another 50 years, did you not?

The debt is expected to climb to around 45 trillion by 2030. We are facing a debt bomb that will make Yellowstone look like a firecracker when it goes off.

The only reason we have friends and/or allies around the world is because we buy or bribe them. When the ability to buy or bribe ceases, so do our friendships and alliances.

With how the Red Sea is going with trade vessels, the advantage of the navy is decreasing with new technology like hypersonic missiles and drones. I don't know all the details of what got hit when. Been enough for some international shipping to look for another way. If the navy cannot protect the trade routes, not doing their job as well.

With how China sinks an aircraft carrier, it corrupts its government, buys its secrets and influences its economy. All China has to do is be patient as the US government continues to use its economy as a weapon, sheading it into pieces along the way. Even if Trump can hold it together for another 4 years, America is losing the advantage it had in the ashes of WW2.

It's simple if China wants to do business in the US they stop helping Russia who is under sanctions. China has a choice they can choose to cease doing business with Russia or the United States. They made their decisions and chose to cease Russian transactions. There's no forcing anything they had a choice and made it.

As I said, other nations will and are getting tired of the US continually financially threatening. The us is cutting it's own throat using financial intimidation as a weapon... It's going to backfire bigley one of these days. Count on it!

Lets make a bet on who will start the crying first. The supplier (China) or the consumer when the shelves are empty (the USA).

China is reliant on Western purchase power, particularly the US.
Without access or even with limited access to these markets the Chinese economy would crumble.
That would be catastrophic to China.

With the rise in the standard of living so has come a rise in expectations. The Chinese people will not go back willingly to working for a bowl of rice a day.

In such a crisis China will do what China always does, it will close in on itself and shut out the rest of the world.

Now let me see. The population of the USA about 326.7 million, the population of Africa about 1,493,472,072. Now why do you think that China/ Russia is going all out to woo all the African nations and by the way they are beating the US and the western nations at it. When they have them the USA will be a small memory. And please don't say that Africa is a place of poverty because it's not.

The total GDP of Africa is about about 1/8 th of the US.

It's not all a place of poverty but much of it is.

The ONLY reason China and Russia are 'beating' the US/West regarding investment etc in Africa is due to the inane wokists and their influence etc they are # scared of being accused of neo-colonialism.
China and Russia have no such qualms.

And Africa's purchase power is a fraction of the US/Canada/UK/EU/Australia etc.

It aint about purchasing power. It's about the vast riches that the continent has underneath it. And ultimately who controls it and it wont be the US.

I think you have your P's and Q's mixed up there pard. I tink it's the US conducting a financial war, not just against China but every nation that tries to resist US sanctions.

Question for you. Who do you think will outlast the other? The one in debt up to their eyeballs or the one holding all of that debt? The consumer economy or the manufacturing economy? The one with no means to produce left within their borders or the one with all of the means?

At present, we can't even match Russia's war materials manufacturing capabilities, much less China's, Russia's, North Korea's combined.

We are on a path to screwing the pooch, Captain

We are only building new aircraft carriers because China is loaning us the money to do it.

China only owns about 3% of US debt.

US is still the 2 largest manufacturer in the world.

You sure?

Russia is having to get (poor quality) shells from NK, a third of the Black Sea fleet is sunk or out of action, no aircraft carrier, etc.

It's having to use WW2 tanks.
