Back in July 1975 there was snow in the UK, and then summer of 1976 was far hotter than usual, such that they had so many aphids that they then had plagues of lady birds that were enough to stop a cricket match.

I remember that summer and winter so well , we had to have food dropped by the RAF helicopters as the snow was so high and the hot summer where the tar was melting on the roads .
