We knew this was coming for a long time. We also know this will blow over fast and Trump will be President in 9 months.

Patriots do not attack. They defend. They protect. If there is anything MAGA related the government staged it.

Most of us knew this outcome. We know why it is happening. It will be overturned on appeal but the DNC and the PACs have their soundbite.

Their problem is if you were gonna vote for him yesterday you will still vote for him today.

I've refrained from commenting on the case or anything Trump for quite awhile now, because it's really not about Trump.

It's about the complete failure of our institutions and that failure being cheered on by those that agree with that failure when it benefits them.

Trump will never be re-elected, sorry. Not even sure how someone could think this sham system would allow that. That's the real issue.

How much more do you have to see, to see that unless extreme measures come into play, the sham will continue...

It's a hard road to hoe, but I see banana sprouts, already...

How is justice being served destroying your country?

I think your nation might be somewhat more robust to be honest.

That’s a good question.

Wtf are Democrats thinking trying to intentionally destroy our country.

"They believed a hooker and a convicted liar".

Yes. Rather than him.

Trump has a long history in New York.

Perhaps his past deeds lent some weight.

Before you celebrate political persecution, remember it can go both ways. This case will set precedence for future trials.

Good.

The world doesn't need criminals in control.

We should legally purge every last one from office, in perpetuity.

Criminals just proved criminals are in control of our country.

Congratulations.

He was found guilty, of all charges, by a 12 person jury that he and his defence team participated in the selection of. There was even a delay when they contested the first jury selection, which the judge allowed.

But, aside from that, I don't believe that even the most ardent pro-Trumpers believe that he didn't pay to quash bad publicity.

He has claimed in his defence that everyone is lying, but the foundation of his defence is that he didn't do anything of what we all know he did. He even stated it again (several times) outside the court after the verdict had been given. That is so obviously untrue.

He paid sums of money to hush up things that would be potentially damaging to his campaign, during campaigning, and then directed others to hide those payments.

When the details of those payments came out, he then lied directly and said he didn't know anything about them, but there is hard evidence and testimony that he did and in fact gave direction for his employees to both make the payments, and to cover up the payments and he also provided the money to make those payments.

He is guilty of all charges, not because of some giant conspiracy involving everyone on the prosecution side, and all Democrats, and Joe Biden, but because he is guilty. Those charges were brought because of events that were known publicly before the charges were laid.

You don’t have to convince me.

We’re a damn Bananna Republic now.

I think that they will more likely sentence him such that the other criminal trials can now proceed with urgency.

Flipping back and forth between CNN and Fox News, this is too funny, or forced to be funny to alleviate pain.

All smiles or all frowns. It's like the TV trial trope where each person's testimony put the other in devil horns.

Seriously -- FOX is like watching a soap opera. You need tranquilizers to watch it.

CNN -- is kinda blah -- but more realistic IMO.

Well if you could provide a good answer that might be nice?

Wtf are Democrats thinking trying to intentionally destroy our country.

If thats a statement i disagree and if its a question, i would ask where exactly are "Democrats" trying to destroy your country?

I'm not quite sure what Democrats have to do with justice being served and seen to be done through.

Was it politically motivated??? Please look at when the judge has set his sentencing date,,,,,4 days before the Republican convention. Now if that aint political I don't know what is. I live in the UK and I can smell the stink over here.

The date was requested by Trump's lawyers.

The US justice system is defunct - I knew that the day I had to plead guilty to false charges because I could not afford a attorney to go to trial had to cut my loses , No way I was going to trial with a Public attorney .

One are doing freaking handsprings for law and order showing people are not above law, and the other are calling it proof of a loss of society, and turning into a banana republic that jails political enemies.

All smiles or all frowns. It's like the TV trial trope where each person's testimony put the other in devil horns.

It's actually quite fascinating. Same thing was happening on the radio; one station has legal experts saying that this was the most legitimate case in the history of the country, the Judge was perfect and the Prosecution did an excellent jod. Turn the dial a few points and you get the exact opposite.

As an observer who doesn't care eather way what happens to this one man I don't know what to think ....

Is exactly half the country bat sh!t crazy (you decided which side)?

Or have both sides allowed themselves to become so polarized that the wheels have finally come off and concepts like "justice" no longer apply because we all live in different realities?

It's hard to belive the former, that only one half the country has gone craz,. It's simply too convenient an equation.

Looking at the pased high profile case of OJ Simpson. There were people on both sides of that case. People backing OJ against a corrupt police department and those who wanted to see him convicted .... but everyone felt he was guilty. We all lived in the same reality, saw the same facts present, drew the same conclusions ... our support for or against OJ was a product of the justice system, not the man or even the crime he committed.

A few decades later and we can't even agree a crime was even perpetrated ... let alone who committed it.

Not sure how you come to that about my sensibilities from me asking you a question

As someone who thinks all politicians are liars and cheats, my sensibilities (in my own opinion) are completly in check, as for those that cheerlead on behalf of wealthy idiot politiicans (of all partys) thats something I watch and am constantly suprised by

I hope you find the rebellion you re looking for

I'm looking for no such thing.

The rebellion is underway, I just wish it was my side doing the rebelling for once...

This is very funny. I like it. This act shows the public, as a fact, how screwed up our system is. The last time the division was this bad in our country was in late 1850s.

I am the same, and agree with you, some will not. But when is violence justified? When does it become imperative? That’s the real question. If the US constitution is torn up completely and discarded, is that the time? Or when our country is invaded by people who mean us harm, is that the time? What about the “frog in the pot” story, where you turn up the heat gradually until he dies, rather than all at once so he jumps out. Do WE sit in that pot, or not?

We have much to think about as Americans, no matter the choice, it will come down to a choice, and soon I believe. I only hope it’s possible that we can avoid violence.

The thing is Trump could afford the best of attorneys.

And if the result had been in Trump's favor would your justice system still be defunct?

Ive had to plead guilty to false charges myself before, so i know how that feels, but that's just PF negotiating plea deals.

Which happens world wide in most courts in first-world nations.
