Trump was his vehicle to cash...he stole from redfin no problem...but he knows trump pays enough attention that stealing from someone already willing to pay you very well to practice law for him isn't a good mark. It was easy to see the reason...Cohen even testified to as much...he wanted to and thought he would be the AG...and he wanted that more than anything. He fixed the problem and hid how so he could cash in on the AG spot.

That's nuthin'

Trump wanted to be President!

How’s Biden going to influence the NY legal system?

Explain Matthew Colangelo leaving Biden's DOJ to join Alvin Bragg’s team of prosecutors .

I noticed no one answered this......

I have a feeling it's the same reason why a certain Steven D'Auntonio was the head of the FBI for the Whitmer kidnapping, J6 and the Mar-A-Lago raid.

You are still seeing this as an 'either or' situation.

Yes, Cohen did criminal stuff. But so did 'da boss guy' who was bankrolling him.

Trump was aware of where the money was going. It was Trump who stiffed RedFinch when they did work on Trump's behalf to rig the CNBC poll, but CNBC didn't go ahead with that poll. So Trump decided not to pay.

'Red Finch'

Didn't Cohen admit on the stand that he stole the $60k from the Trump organization?

Yep.
And that’s only what he admits to stealing.

As far as I can tell his apart of the prosecution team, so at the very worst he was put there to push the case forward. Can’t see how his in a position to influence the Judge or the jury for that matter.

YES, But Democrats said that evening Cohen was a habitual liar.

He was a darling angel the day before.

Go figure... 🤪

It was 30k. It was supposed to cost him 50k to pay Redfin off to manipulate some poll, but it only ended up costing him 20k. So he kept the difference, because he felt ripped off for not getting a bonus that year.

No.
Cohen admitted to the theft.

According to Cohen, Trump was reimbursed $50,000 to pay Red Finch, a tech company hired to rig a CNBC poll on the most famous businessmen over the last century—even though he only came in 9th in the poll.

However, Cohen admitted on the stand he only paid the company $20,000, keeping $30,000 for himself. Cohen said his decision to the money was “self-help” after the Trump Organization slashed his bonus in 2016.

Later, Trump’s defense attorney Todd Blanche asked Cohen outright: "So you stole from the Trump Organization, right?"

Cohen responded affirmatively, "yes sir."

EXPEDITED APPEALS are all the rage this year!

Example: www.nbcnews.com...

There is ZERO doubt the Trump legal team is putting together the framework for their EXPEDITED appeal of the (70% certain) GUILTY verdict to be rendered in this "hush money" (or whatever the charges are) trial.

Then if it was theft why did Trump or others directly not go after Cohen for such an action?
Probably would've been the smart move all things considered.

He was the #3 official in Biden’s DOJ and he takes a job to work under Fat Alvin Bragg?

Why would he go backwards like that?

Cohen admitted on the stand that he never told Trump about ripping off his company.
