No dad should be showering with a daughter as she gets older. It is just not done. You might not be a pervert but if it had a big enough impact for a kid to remember it is a core memory.

What infant even remembers ever taking a shower...let alone would be able to classify it as having been "probably inappropriate".

Annee. She was old enough to remember. When you are a child there are things you remember. Core memories. A specific birthday. A family trip. But it is not always a good memory. Some of those, that are bad, you suppress.

She also implies more than once. I am not sure if you have ever dealt with a victim of abuse/etc but someone writing that in a journal is a cry for help that they cannot vocalize. They put it on paper to teach themselves to deal with it. Therapy 101.

This is not about Trump, or Biden. It is about a little girl, who based on what I have read from her, not conjecture or opinion, she was molested by what could have been multiple people. Her voice needs to be heard and there are [people in this thread saying but Trump/Ivanka

Well, she's not talking to you, or me. She's therapeutically musing about the sexual awareness and awakening of her youth, as part of a healing process for a personal, not public, dysfunctionality in her life. She's specifically looking for its origins, wondering if she was sexually molested and musing that showers with her did were probably inappropriate.

"Probably" is the operative word here. If she remembered being molested in the shower, she would have identified that moment, but the best she can write is that was probably inappropriate; Icky. Maybe traumatically icky.
