Pmsl, that's exactly the way I'm looking at it!!!
Forgetting about policies for a moment, just a personal attack on Ed Davey, he's a #ing knobhead ain't he, I reckon he's going through a mid life crisis and trying to look 'cool' to attract the 'yoof' vote or something...if he was the MP candidate in my area, I definitely definitely wouldn't vote for him!

...lol I just checked how old he is, 58, but born on Christmas day lol, maybe it's a Messiah complex he's got!!!🤣

Knobhead, but at least he is up for a laugh.

Vote Reform. Vote early, vote often.

Vote often!🤣
...I'd vote Reform if it weren't for the fact that the only two contenders here have always been Conservative, or the occasional Liberal/Lib-dem MP, in the history of people having the vote!!
With the conservative vote being damaged by Reform the lib-dems WILL win it here I reckon, and as I explained on the last page, the lib-dem candidate is a fantastic hard working councillor, so I'm sure he'll make an excellent constituency MP.
The one thing I want is for our current self serving smug Tory MP to be booted out...that's almost more important to me coz he's such a career-conservative-#!!🤣

To be honest, I'm still leaning towards None of The Above. Don't vote or the Govt will get in.

But that won't happen

My seat is massively blue so it's all academic.

Cracking start in the Euros tonight though, so let's hope English politics follow suit, winning for the people!

Yeah he does seem to be trying to mine the loveable fool thing, I guess hoping people forget about when he was in charge of the post office and refused to listen to any of the postmasters, instead oking their prosecutions.

Reform today launched their "contract with the British people" , the key pledges are as follows.

None essential immigration frozen.

Illegal immigrants detained and deported .... nice idea but it won't happen.

Income Tax threshold raised to £20,000.

Reduce corporation tax from 20% to 15%.

25% transferable marriage tax allowance.

Those are the main points but there are more good ideas included in the link like scrapping HS2 , dropping VAT on fuel bills and making migrants wait 5 years before they can claim benefits so they've put in before they can take out.

Of course Reform wont win this election so none of this will happen but it is a sign of the direction they want to go after Labour have messed things up in 5 years time.

HS2 was a very, very expensive pointless waste of time and money.

OMFG you are so correct there, every election I've ever voted!!!
...I'm wondering if most people in the democratic world could say that though, it is politicians we're talking about!

I watched Farage and Tice. I don't much like Farage but they were honest and talked sense.

They get my vote.

Ha! Now the Cons are trying to en-Tice Boris to get involved in their campaign! Talk about desparation!
Rather like Brutus (Sunak) et all asking Caesar to come back after stabbing him in the back!
Meanwhile Boris is on holiday and doesn't give a damn..... good on Boris I say.

Got to say that did give me a bit of a giggle.

Wouldn't blame Boris one little bit if he told them exactly where to stick it.

And it certainly does reek of desperation by The Tories.....what next, a miraculous resurrection of Maggie herself?
I think it'd take a miracle of those sort of epic proportions for The Tories to get out of this with anything resembling a respectable showing.

Agreed!
However, regardless of his connection to the Post Office scandal, I am actually enjoying Ed Davey's daily antics.... "What Ed got up to next"..... the only enjoyable part of the whole GE.

I'm maybe going Reform after all.
We had a 63% winning vote for the Brexit referendum, in my MP's constituency. I can't vote for the lib-dem guy, no matter how brilliant a councillor he is...I am far more aligned with Reform's national policies, just a pity the guy is such an 'unknown' candidate.

886 migrants caught the Border force ferry service from France yesterday , a new record for this year.

Vote Reform UK.

They are so good at getting people over the water, maybe they should replace P&O and we can wave goodbye to those bank holiday queues at Dover...
